Julius Peppers to Denver Broncos?

Three-time Pro Bowler DE Julius Peppers was seen at the Denver Nuggets game Sunday night, which resulted in rumors that a deal is in the works between Denver and Carolina for a trade involving Peppers.

Peppers still has one more year on his current contract with Carolina, but considering Peppers was in Denver and the Broncos finished 19th in run defense, it has risen many rumors that this trade could be a possibility.

This would be a great deal for Denver if they could bring Peppers in because it bolsters their run defense tremendously, and they would have two very good pass rushers along with Elvis Dumervil. If the two teams ever agree on a trade, I would expect it would be on Draft Day, and Denver would trade draft picks for Peppers.

As a Broncos fan though, I just say give them Dre Bly and a draft pick, because the Broncos have a solid third corner in Domonique Foxworth and one or two draft picks won't hurt if they are getting Julius Peppers in return.

Dre Bly is horrible, and I'm saying this as a Broncos fan. He gets burnt like toast all the time. Denver's third corner Dominque Foxworth is better than Bly. I don't know if Denver could get Peppers for Bly and a couple picks, of if he would be a player to trade, but Bly is just not good in my opinion.

yeah, I just think Denver's secondary would be much better with Dom starting instead of Bly, he is a waste of space and money. If Denver starts Bailey, Foxworth, Abdullah, and Lynch or McCree, that will be good, but you know it won't happen

Hey Denver How do you feel about my secondary? Asante Samuel and Lito Sheppard. Best CB Tandem in the panet held down, but dont worry Champ will leave you guys once you fail to make the playoffs...again. Good luck at not sucking. BTW Bailey is the best no doubt but his tandem nad phillys tandem is not to compare you hear? You guys can get Brady and Moss and you will still suck

Lito is better than Bly, but still isn't that great

Champ isn't going anywhere

Since 1996, the Broncos have made the playoffs 7 out of 12 years
Since 1996, the Eagles have made the playoffs 7 out of 12 years

So if the Broncos suck in your opinion, the Eagles suck just as much as Denver cuz just look at the playoff appearances.

Denver has 2 Super Bowls in that time span, Eagles 0

Denver could beat philly if they played right now.

Great points, TC. You put PrincedePhila on Mac Blast using stats... can't argue with numbers. Asante is great but Champ is better. The Eagles and the Broncos will both be good next year. I'll still be pulling for the Bills, though. It's all about Beast Mode "Money" Lynch. He's gonna put the whole AFC East on Mac Blast.

well your including before the eagles got reid and mcnabb and your including the far past when the broncos were actually good. so if you take away the far past . then you have eagles playoffs like 6-8 times, and what is the broncos record in that same time?

nobody takes denver serious when they cant win in one the weakest divisions in all of football. san diego sure...but oakland and Kc suck for life and you still cant win ur division...
just like a Denver fan to still be livin in the Elway years... lets go w recent history not 10 history. as long as teams like NE, Indy, and Pitt exist u guys wont be seeing a superbowl except on TV.

Bailey is a great corner and would be an even better corner if the Broncos had a pass rush, that's why the Peppers deal actually makes some sense for the Broncos.

philly could kill denver right now. denver plays in the worst division while the eagles play in the hardest or second hardest. Plus the broncos may have gone to 2 super bowls. but the eagles have consistently gone to championship games. not sayin that means anything except that we have maintained one of the best teams in the one of the hardest divisions over the past 10 years

The Broncos have maintained one of the best teams in the league over those years too, and Denver has the Super Bowls to prove it. except for this past season, the AFC West is usually the toughest in the AFC but it was a down year this past season

plus lookin at the broncos right now,,, anybody could run or pass on them. just don't throw in the direction of champ. lynch is old and got beat plenty of times. and at CB 2 you have maybe two thrid string players. While you have only 1 good WR marshall, stokley sucks, travis henry sucks, selvin young will start

say the Broncos get Peppers, then you put him with Dumervil, Boss, D.J. Williams, Champ, Abdullah, Dominque Foxworth, marlon McCree, and Marcus Thomas, thats a damn good Defense. Marshall is a beast, Stokley is very solid, and Keary Colbert can make big plays, I think Selvin should start but he won't b/c of all the money they are paying him

the raiders havent won more than 5 games in the past 5 years. the chiefs have only gone to the playoffs once. The NFC east send three teams to the playoffs almost every year

mcnabb never has been bad except for the injurys . always overs 3000 yards, and his interception to TD rate is best in the league, he previously owned the record single season

O.k. Before you Broncos fans start throwing stones. Remember your roots:
Losing 4 consecutive Superbowls (By a combined 113 points) and also own THE WORST LOSS IN SUPERBOWL HISTORY 55-10 to the 49ers. Which brings your NFL Championship record to 2-4.
The Eagles are 0-2 in Superbowls (losing by a combined 13 points). And we are 3-0 in NFL Championship games (the only team to win a back to back championship by consecutive SHUT OUTS) and we are the ONLY team to beat Vince Lombardi's Packers in the Playoffs. So overall our record is 3-2 in NFL Championship Games.
In more recent news. Starting this DECADE the Broncos have made it to the playoffs 5 times (finishing 1st in the AFC West ONCE) and lost 4 WILDCARD games (Colts) 41-10 (Colts) 49-24 (Patriots) 27-13 and one AFC Championship game (Steelers) 34-17
Starting this DECADE the Eagles have made the playoffs SIX Times (finishing 1st in NFC EAST 5 times). Losing a Divisional playoff game (Giants) 20-10 and 3 consecutive NFC Championship games (Rams) 29-24 (Buccaneers) 27-10 (Panthers) 14-3 and one SUPERBOWL 27-24 to the *Patriots (* for possibly being cheaters) and another divisional round game vs (Saints) 27-24.
We have been more competitive since the start of the decade and don't have a tendency of getting blown out (like the Broncos in almost every playoff loss). We have a better NFL CHAMPIONSHIP record (sure this doesn't include a Superbowl but the last time I checked it's still the NFL). And we have the best fans in the NFL. :)
