PLAYERS: Larry Foote
TEAMS: Detroit Lions

That didn't take long.Concluding a series of events in which the former Steeler linebacker asked out of a contract that would pay him nearly $3 million for the defending champions this season, Larry Foote reached a one year deal last night with his hometown, 0-16 Detroit Lions. • hey , whatever , we got him and now i think we are going to be better (( wait a minute )) ALOT BETTER ! hes coming home and if he does good , i hope the lions sign him to a longer contract . WELCOME HOME LARRY
  • Larry Foote is a beast. He's the physical presence that the Detroit Lions have missed since Spielman left town. It helps that he's a hometown guy and a Michigan Man who truly wants to play here. The decision to hold off picking a MLB till later in the draft knowing that the Foote deal was on the horizon will be one of the greatest accomplishments of the Mayhew era.
