LZ Granderson is a sports writer for ESPN's Page 2. He wrote a long article filled with misdirection, emotional manipulation and speculation about Brady Quinn and how he wants a longer investigation into an alleged incident involving the word "faggot" outside of a bar in Columbus on New Year's eve.

Maybe you should read my article AND LZ Granderson's article before you spout off two comments in a row that make very little sense.
IFChris replied February 21, 2008
How very calculating of him.
Are you sure you read the article at all or did you see "LZ Granderson," "Brady Quinn," and "Gays" and started in with your assumptions?
FilteringCraig replied February 21, 2008
He says that that is his agenda, but meanwhile he is taking a situation which NO VIOLENCE WAS REPORTED INVOLVING BRADY QUINN, and he is comparing it to his incident where he was assaulted and also the most brutal, murderous beating of a gay person in the history of the country.
It is unfair. It is uncalled for. Granderson is using Brady Quinn unfairly. Bottom line.
IFChris replied February 21, 2008
For those of you who are reading this and believe I'm trying to forward some sort of agenda, let me be the first to tell you that you are absolutely correct. I want a country where it isn't OK to get the snot kicked out of you because you're different.
what a bastard. furthermore, it was behavior LIKE QUINN'S that led to Granderson's incident in New Orleans as it is. are you honestly saying one doesn't proceed the other? What makes Quinn's remarks so much better than the thugs who wanted to beat Granderson?
because he's a Cleveland Brown?

If Quinn's situation were like the one that Granderson found himself in, we would be reading about Brady Quinn being up on assault charges. IT JUST ISN'T THERE. No matter how hard you or Granderson want that to be the case, the fact is that all we have is one alleged word instead of the assault that you and Granderson seem to want to uncover. IT ISN'T THERE.
Quinn didn't beat anyone down. Quinn didn't get into a fist fight. If anything, because the OTHER guy was arrested for getting physical with the cops, doesn't it seem like HE was the problem?
I guess not. You would prefer to continue a witch hunt because LZ Granderson got beat up by a bunch of bigots in LOUISIANA.

A simple incident of name-calling--such as the incident Brady Quinn was allegedly involved in--can lead to the kind of situation LZ found himself in. It's not too much of a stretch to step that up to another Matthew Shepard. LZ absolutely has an agenda, and it's to increase awareness of homophobia--of which all the events he cites are examples--and stamp it out. THAT is the point of LZ's article.
As for the phrase "gay agenda" in your title, I believe it to be sensational, and I echo the sentiments of IFChris and rotodestroyer. After reading your article, I deem you an intelligent person. Therefore, I'm sure you understand the connotation society has placed on the phrase "gay agenda" and thus must be using it to misrepresent a story and imply your own personal agenda without having to actually state your feelings. Words are a wonderful thing--well played.
