Lions 2003 First Round Pick Rogers Cut

The new regime in Detroit had not seen enough out of Charles Rogers. The former second-overall pick did not make the 53-man cut on Saturday.

For his career, Rogers played 15 games with nine starts. He caught 36 passes for 440 yards and four touchdowns. With a $14.2 million signing bonus, Rogers has been a huge bust for a Lions team that couldn't afford to squander draft picks. Let's see if he lands with another team.

Who's the bigger bust, Charles Rodgers or David Terrell?

I gotta say Rogers. As fantasy leaguers, we've been drafting him as a sleeper pick for the last two seasons after we saw his potential during his rookie season before he broke his collarbone. Two touchdowns in his first game!!!

Terrell never really showed anything. Rogers looked great before his first injury. As a jaded Lions fan, I feel like he's going to catch on somewhere and be serviceable. The talent is there. He just needs the discipline.
