True but he is still the 2nd best in the NFL and that makes him a #1. As much as I hate him he will be a beast for a fiew more years. All the better reason to keep Lito!

Why don't the eagles just pay him, we have the cap room.

Great Article!! I hope Lito Stays....Switching Brown and Lito back and forth could be Good For Both Players. Nobody wants to get more reps, but it would keep both healthy, and would make them all that much better while they are in game. It would pay dividends in the 4th quarter when they are much fresher than the WR's They are going up against. They would be dominant. 3rd Down would be SICK!!!

As much as I would like Lito to remain an Eagle I think his days are pretty much numbered. Last year when the Eagles drafted Kevin Kolb, Andy Reid and the FO were in constant contact with McNabb and explained their reasoning and smoothed things out and he remained with the team after all of the media hoopla and will be for at least another season.

Now, Lito Sheppard is a whole different situation. After the draft Andy Reid was asked about Lito as some of you may recall and he said, "Right now Lito is a member of this football team and we expect him to contribute...." Reid was then asked if he had spoken to Lito at all this offseason and he quaintly responded with, "no I have not."

To me, the writing is on the wall. Hugh Douglas was saying on WIP about 3 days ago that he didn't expect Lito to show up for any of the upcoming camps.

Again, like I said, as much as I would like to have him here I think he is as good as gone. I hope I am wrong unless of course he nets us something too good to pass up then I can justify it. Oh, and to kind of rebut the aforementioned article I have the NFL.com rumor mill article that was and is currently on the home page for everyone to read.

Its not a rumor that his agent spoke with Jacksonville...nobody ever said (well besides idiots on here) that there was a trade in the works. All that was reported by the media was that Lito's AGENT was in discussions with the Jags....and he was. He's free to talk to whoever he wants, just like Lito was free to take a little trip down to Tampa. It doesn't mean the Eagles FO has something in the works...morons on here just read to deeply into things.

Yeah I know. I was just trying to clarify truth from rumor for those on here that don't seem to differentiate between the 2 and post bogus bulletins that catch your eye and make you mad when you open them, lol. It's all good tho. We'll see what happens in the coming days I suppose..

I say keep lito unless the eagles are sure about getting ocho or a #1 WR. and they put all there eggs in one basket. which i'm kind of not so sure now. now i'm not sayin i dont believe that they wont get a #1 WR, but just that unless june 1st comes and that bengals cap hit is nullified and we dont go afte him with our arsenile of 2 #1 picks plus lito in some combination, i dont see it happening.
