Manning withholding judgment over Harrison's off-field issue

Wide receiver Marvin Harrison reported for the Indianapolis Colts' mandatory three-day minicamp that opened Friday but did not practice with the team.

The Colts remained mum on Harrison's off-field status. He has been questioned by Philadelphia police about an April 29 shooting in his hometown.

Quarterback Peyton Manning is withholding judgment on Harrison and his legal issues. Manning didn't make much of Harrison's off-field news when it first was reported, and he hasn't spoken with Harrison about the incident.

"I didn't have a whole lot of reaction to it because I hadn't talked to anybody personally about it," Manning said. "I've been around long enough that until I hear from somebody that really knows what's going on, I don't give it a lot of merit."

Harrison has told the Colts he was not involved in the shooting, according to The Indianapolis Star.

"With respect to questions regarding Marvin Harrison being interviewed by police in Philadelphia, we have nothing to add to [team president] Bill Polian's statement issued two weeks ago," the Colts said in a statement Friday. "We don't anticipate addressing any such questions unless and until there is an official report of the facts from the Philadelphia Police Department."

i thought so to, i really don't think much is gonna happen now with this......if the philly PD haven't nailed him yet, what are the chances he actually did anything.......

You may be right, CK. They could still be doing the investigation. Obviously, someone fired that gun and they haven't come up with any other suspects yet. No, I wasn't in Philly that weekend, so I've been scratched as a potential suspect.

LOL fiver!!!

well i'm only assuming here that, if anything the fact the gun was his, will bring him some trouble

Definitely. Unfortunately, it is probably going to drag out for a while. I do have a question though. Where was Marko when all of this was going down? Did he give you the "I was at work" routine? LOL
