Marvin Harrison questioned for shooting outside Philadelphia bar

This is a very strange story - the weapon is apparently pretty rare, and Marvin Harrison happens to own one and says he left it at home. Also, I have never heard of this bar and know nobody in Philly who has - can't find it anywhere on Google.

Seems like he is pretty guilty, kind of a fibber, and does own a gun. But why would you get a gun that was rare. With the intent of using it outside of a burglary??? I dont get it. If you due something stupid like this you deserve what you get.

according to sources, marvin harrison has 25 guns registered in his name. he probably has this rare gun as a collector's piece. unfortunately for him, he used it in a shooting...much like OJ going to slit two throats in his Bruno Magli loafers. haha

Why would he do it. Every one knows he's the shyest player in the NFL. He doesn't do interviews without sunglasses on, I mean come on. He wouldn't just put himself in the spotlight like this.

I can see why he would pack if he spends a lot of time in North Philly - for those who don't know, imagine the worst neighborhood you can - it is up there. My money is on a synapse that went off at an angry moment and Marvin is catching passes from Michael Vick very soon.

well, he allegedly shot someone in the shoulder, and sprayed an innocent girl in the face with glass from one shot. if he did it, i hope the only daylight he sees is through steel bars. i'm a trauma resident in philadelphia, and i am sick and tired of seeing shooting victims in this city. marvin harrison has NO EXCUSE for acting out in gun violence. he is not a desperate individual, he's had every opportunity thrust in his direction bc he can play ball. shame on him for not being able to just stay quiet and color within in the lines. instead, he owns 25 guns, and owns a bar in north philly. awesome marvin.

From what I have seen on the news this morning, his arrest is likely. Police are just trying to get all witnesses interviewed before they pick him up.

I never ever would have guessed this. what the hell is wrong with multi-million dollar football stars getting into gun fights. I guess some guy came into his bar that had been banned and it escalated from there. Of course, his lawyer said he wasn't involved, but they found the gun at his business and it was the same one that had been used to shoot the people with. Hmmm........Peyton Manning won't like this one if Harrison is involved and gets suspended.

his career will be over. i'm seeing big jailtime in his future if this is as bad as it appears. he's 35 now, why come back after a year or 2 off?
PA laws are often harsh, this isn't CA where anyone with money can get off easy.

This is why fans should never pretend they know who these guys really are. The word 'classy' is constantly used when the vast majority of people who use it to describe people, never have any first-hand experiences to substaniate such a claim.
Joe Fan doesn't know these guys and he should cease in making such unfounded statements.

One little problem here foks.......The guy that got shot said that Marvin was not the one that shot him........He will get a misameanor charge because his gun was used in a crime, but that is most likely all. Unless the guy who got shot was lying for some reason..........but why would he do that?

I wonder how much that cost Marvin.

a misdemeanor charge will be a 5 game suspension, still fairly bad, not that he will be ready for the start of the season anyway

The victim not identifying Harrison as the shooter makes this case real intriguing. I've heard conflicting stories as it relates to witnesses of the shooting. I believe the police said they have no witnesses, but there are supposedely 'witnesses that saw Harrison as the shooter but haven't come forward yet.'
