Yesterday I predicted the Ravens would win today's game 19-3, with four field goals and a touchdown. The final score was 22-3, Baltimore over St. Louis, with five Matt Stover field goals instead of four...

  • yeah, I would vote for Stover for MVP. He is a truly great kicker. Hope he keeps it up. Ravens need any points they can get.
  • I think that is somewhat jumping the gun there......What about Brady? Don't get me wrong.....I LOVE my Ravens, but we have to give credit where it is due.....Brady is hands-down the front runner at this point. Maybe in the later weeks things will change, but as of now he is the man......not to take anything away from Stover, mind you.
  • I was just messing around. I don't actually believe that Stover should be MVP. Well, offensive MVP for the Ravens, definitely, but certainly not MVP of the league.

    You're right about Brady.
  • Like I was serious....of course Brady is tops. Can anyone stop the guy?
  • Hopefully the Ravens! Unfortunately I don't think Baltimore will have an answer for Moss. Brady has too many weapons and our secondary is thin. That, and they'll need to be able to generate more of a pass rush.
  • Yeah, that's about the only chance. Get some dudes in Brady's grill and knock him around a bit. Otherwise with any kind of time it's just like you said, he was too many weapons.
  • And the thing is, Brady doesn't even need all that many weapons to succeed. He's just so poised and smart.

So when you do give him weapons? Watch out, five touchdowns.

Ravens Week 6 - Gus Who's Coming to Dinner

"It's Gus!" exclaimed Ed Reed, who was wired for sound this weekend as the Ravens battled the Rams. "It's Gus. It's Gus." For those of you who frequent Rehoboth Beach in the summer, Ed wasn't referring to the fried chicken hole-in-the-wall on the boardwalk. That would be Gus & Gus, where the smell of the fryer, old bay and vinegar combine...

Game Preview: Rams at Ravens

St. Louis (0-5) @ Baltimore (3-2) This game is likely to be a battle of attrition, as both teams are suffering from the injury bug--a virus that is wreaking havoc through the NFL this season. Which team comes out victorious will be the team that gets inexperienced players to play the best above their proverbial heads. One team is desperate for their first win of the season...

Jonathan Ogden... career over?

I wrote more than a month ago that "Ogden's career is over," that the future Hall of Famer wouldn't be able to play another game because of an injured toe. Turns out I might be right.

Ravens 22, Rams 3

I almost felt sorry for the Rams, but hey, this is football. You win some, you lose some. I could say something really harsh there, but I'll leave it at that. I have some observations for the game, some good and some not so good, the first quarter had me worried actually. I like I think many assumed this would be a crushing brutal blow from the moment we hit the field...

Rams/Ravens Recap

The Baltimore Ravens may as well change their name to The Replacement Killers. Backup QB Gus Frerotte had a horrendous day throwing 5 picks and losing 1 fumble in the face of constant pressure. Backup RB Brian Leonard had just 18 yards on 12 carries, and while filling in for the injured Isaac Bruce, 3rd WR Drew Bennett left the game injured and catchless.

Bulger Set to Return

Although he's nursing 2 broken ribs, St. Louis Rams quarterback Marc Bulger plans to play this coming Sunday against the Seahawks.

Ravens-Rams game preview

Regardless of who is playing quarterback, I expect more questionable play calling from Brian Billick, whose stubborn desire to field a balanced offense means he'll refuse to give McGahee the ball early and often. This despite the fact that the Rams defend against the run about as well as a high school team.

6 down, 10 to go. Can the Rams achieve perfection? All signs point to... YES.

Boller to Start in Week 8

Kyle Boller will start for the Ravens in their Week 7 matchup against the Bills. According to head coach Brian Billick...

Whats with the Rams woes?

I've been a St. Louis Rams fan forever. I got into the NFL about the time Marshall Faulk got traded to the Rams from the Colts and have been a Faulk / Rams fan ever since. I have seen the absolute highs of the team; the days of the Greatest Show on Turf and super bowl rings. I have also seen and am watching the very lows as well. Last season we went 8-8 which I thought was ok...

The Dark Side of Chester Taylor

You may have heard about an incident last week surrounding former Baltimore Ravens running back Chester Taylor and him throwing a chair at one of his teammates during a fight. Apparently, it's not the first time around this block for Taylor, as a report from Carroll County Times columnist and Inside Ravens blogger Aaron Wilson gives a new perspective on Taylor's history of...

Tony Siragusa Is The Best

Tony Siragusa is the best. He is the best professional athlete to ever wear the jersey number 98. Over a twelve year career split between the Colts and the Ravens, Siragusa put up some serious statistics on defense.
