McNabb & Eagles Window Open ... 1/2 Open or 1/2 Closed?

I for one believe in #5, in spite of injuries & age concerns, potential contract "issues," and lack of a big time target at WR. But I understand that I may not be in the majority these days, as many talk of looking to the future of this team and some have even suggested the words (gulp), "rebuilding."
We are by no means rebuilding. We are fortunate enough to be in a Conference that remains competetive with opportunity for nearly all of the teams in our division & many on our conference. Sure, it is frustrating that we haven't "closed the deal" - but we have dominated the NFC and the NFC East for the better part of the last decade. I always ask myself, would I rather win the SB and then suffer ten years of losing or get close but not win the big game every year for ten years. If keeping McNabb means winning at high levels and going deep into the playoffs for the next 6 years but no SB, I chose #5. The good news for Eagles fans is that we have a legitimate chance to win the SB with #5 for the next 5-6 years.
McNabb is as good a QB as there is in the league and we cannot do better than him right now. What he has done for this team over the last 8 years is unmatched by most QB's in the modern era, minus the asterick of not having won the big game... yet!!!

McNabb has the experience and situational awareness to keep going if his mobility is reasonably intact. He has good receivers that can help move the ball even if there is no rain maker. As goes McNabb so goes the Eagles. If he is injured again I don't see much back up potential at this time and we will be in for another long season.

I like your comment, as McNabb goes so go the Eagles - so true. With a healthly Don, we are solid... without, we are looking forward to next season.

this d is gonna be off the chain with our secondary and our young yet talented lb they should do fairly well and i think with donavan at qb we will win alot of games if he goes down i think we will still win most of those games.

if the giants can win a superbowl with the likes of eli manning why cant the eagles win one with mcnabb or kolb as all eagles fans know (i dont think the rest of the world does) Eli SUcks!

I love mcnabb as the eagles qb. People where i live dont like mcnabb around this area everybody thinks he is a choker and sucks. I am sick of hereing them say that. I am glad to come on this website and see alot of yous eagles fans think mcnabb is great. At least i know i am not that only one that likes mcnabb as the qb. As far as Eli he is ok as the qb he did gett better over the years but he still isnt as good as his brother. The scary thing is he might get even better Eli

not with asante blanketing plax and cole bring the pain he just might be the one to get sacked 12 times this year.

With our D this year, we will hardly need an Offense.

i'm a believer-- mcnabb doesnt get respected down here in NC and i'm always the one to defend his case. i even have a FatHead. on another note though, i'm mad at the FO for letting Garcia get away. talk about nice insurance.

If any of us watch the superbowl when Philly played the Pats......The Eagles could have and SHOULD have one that game. I am a huge fan of the Eagles. It's time to stop the F**king talking and get this thing on. There is NO reason why we cannot suceed this year to greatness. Don I love you and u are a great talent.
