Yeah 5 is definitely top 5 especially in comparison to all around ability and accomplishment. Best TD to INT ratio in last decade. Some of the people ranked ahead of him aren't as consistant. Some haven't achieved what he has and of course as we all know no one has done more with less.

Bleed Eagles Green:
The Sporting News ranks the top 25 quarterbacks in the NFL and McNabb made the list!
McNabb landed in the number 10 spot with the below blog as explanation:
We began to see glimpses of the old McNabb in the second half of '07 as he gained more confidence in his surgically repaired knee. If he can stay healthy, he is the perfect quarterback to run Andy Reid's offense.
Ranked ahead of McNabb was Brady, P. Manning, Palmer, Brees, Roethlisberger, Hasselbeck, Romo, Favre, and Rivers.
Hmm, not sure I see all of these quarterbacks being better than a healthy McNabb. McMabb is more like a top 5 quarterback in my opinion. Maybe only Brady, Manning, and Brees definitely ranking above McNabb...

I agree. A healthy Mcnabb is number 3.....
-
Haha, if they ranked 25 QBs, I would HOPE he made the list. There isn't much left after you've ranked 25 of them.
-
If durability goes into the equation of ranking the QB's than Mcnabb belongs 8-10. If it were just on field performance he would be in the top 5.
-
Tony Romo better than Mcnabb???? What? I agree. Mcnabb is a solid number 3.
-
Tony Romo is not better than Mcnabb. He is not. I agree that Mcnabb is a solid number 3.**
-
-
Favre ranked ahead, don't think thats going to come to fruition
-
don't think hassleback and rivers are any better either, romo, maybe when he wins a game that counts
-
#10 only if 10 is the new 1
-
Rivers is bogus. Any QB can succeed with that SD team
-
Garrard and Eli should both be higher than McNabb on this list. McNabb hasn't been a top 5 Quarterback since they went to the Super Bowl. Eli won the Super Bowl and Garrard had the 3rd best passer rating in the league last year.
-
Eli is a piece of crap as a QB.
-
Guess who else won a SB but never made the probowl and won't make the hall of fame. Trent Dilfer, and Brad Johnson are a couple. Winning a SB doesn't mean they are hall of fame. Look at their career and then judge. McNabb will make the hall because of his records and his lowest active int percentage and 2nd in all of NFL history. Being on of only seven Qbs with 25,000 + passing and 2,500 rushing and a ton of other sh#t I will write tomorrow because I'm tired right now.
-
Eli completed 55% of his passes last year and threw more pics than TDs. Hes in the bottom of the rankings, around the likes of David Carr and Matt Leinert
-
Duuude! Eli threw 23 TD's and 20 picks last year.
-
No QB that does this is better then McNabb.

-
Wouldn't a guy whos done this be better than McNabb though?

-
No he didnt. Cjeck the season stats again
-
That obviously shows he's done it. Maybe not this year but last year. Check the seasons and find the one with the panthers game. I also know he's done it against the Eagles because I watch every Eagles game.
-
20 picks is still awful.
-
how awful was that Superbowl victory? pretty awful....i bet he is just crying about it every night
-
he threw more picks then that last season
-
23 Tds and 20 interceptions, just looked it up.
-
This poll was taken for 08 not 04. mcnabb is not a top 5 qb anymore. i think 10 is a fair ranking for him...maybe a little generous. Eagles fans...get over mcnabb...the rest of us have.
-
Farve has had some horrible years but he gets a free pass because of his past. Well following that logic McNabb should also.
-
favre has a super bowl or two to his credit. mcnabb does not. not good logic.
-
But Favre did that in the 90's that doesn't give you indemnity now in the "what have you done for me lately" attitude days.
-
doesn't matter. you are talking about the qb with the best stats of all time here. can't rate mcnabb better than him. that's my logic.
-
Favre has a SB or two? how about 1.
-
1 is still more than mcnabb, huh?
-
But Favre is not washed up by any means. He had probably his best year of his career last year and played in all 16 games, which you can't say for McNabb, and for those who say "What has Favre done for you lately?", you are making the point even clearer, what has McNabb done lately?
-
i am not a brett favre fan by any means...but are u really comparing mcnabb to favre???? when was the last time mcnabb had a good season? when was the last time he won a superbowl...o wait he hasnt. when was the last time any defense has been afraid of mcnabb? stop talking about him like he matters. hes mediocre at best...and if hes ur hope for a good season its gonna be a long yr.
-
*Favre
-
D-Mac should've been ranked at least 8 and when he's healthy he is a top 5 qb in the nfl.
-
He's the third best QB in the league by stats and win percentage. Thats all these analyists go bye so they should rank him 3rd
-
what about superbowl percentage?
-
o ya.....a whopping.....0%
-
McNabb is a choke artist, TO is right.
-
T.O. can't call anybody a choke artist he's 4-7 in the playoffs. McNabb has won 7 games and has had less years in the NFL.
-
When he lost his ability to run he was worthless. He never had a good arm, his long passes are all hail marys, no more no less. He was never consistant or accurate. To me throwing the ball 5 yards and your back, reciever running for 35 yds is not a 40 yard completion. This is not sometime it is 80% of the time look at the facts. I will leave u with this he THREW UP in the super bowl. He is not a leader and is a pussy. Thanks
-
He has a huge arm, great awareness (if he didn't he would be the 2nd least picked off QB in NFL history per pass and 3rd per TD) he turns sh#t into gold, buys time for mediocre receivers, one of the most elusive and mobile QBs to play the game ,and is hall of fame caliber QB. 25,000 pass yards and 3000 pass yards definitely means your a piece of sh#t. Yeah right. Most consecutive completions, one of 7 players to have 25,000 + passing yards and 2,500 + rush yards. 4th fastest QB to reach 50 wins in NFL history, turned a 5-11 team into a 11-5 team his second year and first as a starter, was runner up MVP, 5 pro bowls, a SB appearances, 4 consecutive NFC Championship games one of only 4 player to do so in NFL History, 3rd highest win percentage in NFL, and first QB to throw 30 + TDs and less then 10 Ints in a season. After this year will own every Eagles QB record and by beating the redskins twice will make the Eagles 500 with a division rival all-time for the first time in Eagle history.
-
Theres more but I don't want to waste more of my time proving an idiot wrong.
-
*3000 rushing yards not passing oops
-
r u drunk?
-
we got to the bowl when r division sucked remember? He has no balls and is a excuse guy stick the stats up your ASS. Later cuzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz
-
Are you on drugs. Who talks like that? Whatever Our division sucked because we were that good that year we swept them which is hard no matter who you are.
-
Name other then T.O and Stallworth because he was injured for most of the year, one WR that was good McNabb has had. Then compare that to the other QB's on the list.
-
Are you kidding me? What good receiver did Tom Brady have going into this past year? He's always had junk. Drew Brees had some junky receivers in San Diego, and some so-so receivers in New Orleans. Hasselbeck hasn't had a ton of stuff in Seattle. What do they all have in common? The receivers they have had they made into decent receivers. McNabb has not done that.
-
That is the point it was and not is all the lack recievers fault. Mcnabber has no consistancy, accuarcey, or balls. I talk like that. Thanks Buddy
-
Wow!

Can DeSean Jackson Be Another Donte Stallworth?
Does DeSean Jackson bring back memories of an Eagles' receiver from a few years back?
No not T.O., but Donte Stallworth.
Stallworth and Jackson are both considered undersized for the wide receiver position. Stallworth at 6ft, 200 pounds. Jackson at 5'11" and 172 pounds. Give Jackson a few years in the weight room and 200 pounds is not out of the question for him...
Lito Sheppard Signs Drew Rosenhaus As Agent
For the Eagles to be contenders in 2008 they need a dominant defense. In order for the defense to be dominant they need Lito Sheppard.
So today's report of Lito Sheppard signing Drew Rosenhaus as his agent cannot be good news to an Eagles fan.
I am already picturing Sheppard doing sit-ups in his driveway!
The reports from Derrick Gunn of Comcast Sportsnet also had Rosenhaus...
Tony Hunt: Another Wasted Draft Pick?
CBSSports.com reviews the top training camp battles facing each team in the NFC East.
For the Eagles the top battle is at the back-up running back spot: Buckhalter vs. Booker vs. Hunt
Clark Judge has Booker as the number two guy behind Wesbrook and Buckhalter edging out Hunt for a possible roster spot.
No one pushes starter Brian Westbrook, but who joins him in the backfield...
McNabb: ‘I’m Feeling Great’
I told you not to worry about the news of Donovan McNabb having shoulder tendinitis. On his Yardbarker Blog, McNabb wrote about his annual trip to Arizona and I think what he said is worth noting.
Speaking of the Eagles, fans might be happy to know that I'm in Arizona working out with Brian Dawkins. Next [...]
Lito lands with Rosenhaus!
It's a move that likely will provoke bad memories in Philadelphia. Per a league source, Eagles cornerback Lito Sheppard has hired agent Drew Rosenhaus. We're told that the team and Rosenhaus held an initial meeting on Wednesday, and that both sides hope to avoid a repeat of the ugliness that unfolded in 2005 between the team and another Rosenhaus client, receiver Terrell...

Chris Gocong Listed As A Breakout Player
Chris Gocong Was Listed As One Of The Eagles Linbackers To Have A Breakout Season So How Do You Guys Think He Will Do This Season. Philadelphia Eagles Defense: Bringing the Heat in 2008
In 2007 pressuring the quarterback was a one man show starring Trent Cole. In 2008, Cole should have plenty of company getting after the quarterback.
Last year Trent Cole was the team's only consistent threat off of the edge. Off-season moves and the maturation of the younger players should bolster the Eagles pass rush in 2008. The new theme of of the ends is SPEED, SPEED...
Brian Westbrook - A Number Two Ranking
The Sporting News continued with their position rankings and have ranked Brian Westbrook as the second best running back in the NFL. The only back ahead of Westbrook is the Chargers' LaDainian Tomlinson. It is difficult to argue with LT getting the top billing. But another season like 2007 and Westbrook should challenge for the top spot next year. The blurb in the article on...

10 things eagles fans say that are not true(im an eagles fan too, but you guys chill with this stuff)
There are some general conceptions and misconceptions about this team that need to be cleared up right now, with only a handful of days remaining before training camp remains. What we know about the Eagles is only what we learned during last season's disappointing 8-8 campaign and then what information the players provided the coaching staff during the spring camps. In other...
"LITO will be at camp", says Rosenhaus!
The Eagles have confirmed that cornerback Lito Sheppard has hired Drew Rosenhaus as his new agent.
All indications are that Rosenhaus has told the Eagles in a meeting that Sheppard is expected to report to training camp when the veterans report on Thursday, July 24. Rookies and selected veterans report on Monday, July 21.

I Hope Stewart Bradley Is The Middle Linbacker And Just Shift Omar Gaither To The Strongside Linbacker Spot.
