FanHouse:
NFL commissioner Roger Goodell today reinstated quarterback Michael Vick "on a conditional basis." Goodell also informed Vick that he would "be considered for full reinstatement and to play in regular-season games by Week 6 (October 18-19) based on the progress he makes in his transition plan," according to an NFL press release sent out moments ago. The release says Vick is immediately eligible to participate in "preseason practices, workouts, meetings and may play in his club's final two preseason games. Once the regular season begins, Vick may participate in all team activities other than games." Goodell will continue to evaluate Vick's case and his behavior and will decide by Week 6 whether to make him eligible to play in games. Currently, Vick is a free agent and may sign with any team. It's unclear whether today's decision will prompt any teams to try and sign him...

T.O. Would Like Michael Vick Reinstated Today
Following the Bills practice at training camp this morning, Terrell Owens showed support for Michael Vick, stating that Roger Goodell’s handling of the QB’s status has been “unfair,” and that more of the league’s stars should be voicing their opinion in support of the ex-Falcon.
“I think he’s done the time for what he’s done. I [...]
Who will take Vick?
Saints join the growing list of teams who say they don't want Michael Vick.
Vick ruling as fair as he could have received
One of the truest things about Roger Goodell the commissioner -- something Terrell Owens and Deion Sanders and, as it turns out this afternoon, Tennessee running back Chris Johnson don't understand -- is that even though he can be a tough enforcer if the situation warrants, Goodell always leaves a cooperating player who's gone astray a path back into the NFL. That's exactly what...
NFL commissioner conditionally reinstates Vick
Michael Vick was reinstated by NFL commissioner Roger Goodell on Monday and could play in regular season games as early as October. Vick can immediately participate in preseason practices, workouts and meetings and can play in the final two preseason games _ if he can find a team that will sign him. A number of teams have already said they would not.
ENOUGH! Michael Vick Is Not This Interesting
Enough is enough! Can all of us, myself and the rest of the media, stop talking about Michael Vick?
Now, I understand that media saturation nowadays is flat-out ridiculous, but really seriously. I'm so tired of turning on the TV and hearing all about Vick's options and what he should do or if teams should sign him, etc.
Let's take a serious and logical look at this. The guy got busted...
Owens says NFL should reinstate Vick
Terrell Owens wants Michael Vick to be reinstated by the NFL immediately, and suggested that any thought of extending the quarterback's suspension would be similar to "kicking a dead horse."
Speaking after the Buffalo Bills training camp practice Sunday morning, Owens also referred to NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell's handling of Vick's status as "unfair."

Thanks to Almighty God!
God is a God of another change, and another change, and another change, and another change, and ect ect ect....................
THE MORE THEY PRESS YOU DOWN, THE GREATER YOU SHALL BECOME!!!!
I SPEAK BOUTIFUL BLESSINGS UPON MIKE VICKS LIFE.
And it is so............................
P.S. damn people who congratulate for doing unexcusable crimes on poor helpless, defenseless, innocent creatures of God.
Vick may have the power that I do not have. That is, to change the minds of those who participate in this and make them think twice.
Here is a blog on the dogs! They all look super happy and healthy.
http://vickdogsblog.blogspot.com/
Dogs can bring so much happiness to a person. They can save a life. They can make humans healthier. Why would you want to hurt them?
Animal rights people, spread some of that love to people. We're in need of some, too.
But NONE of that has anything to do with my opinion on this. Vick has Tony Dungy as a mentor! With Dungy in his corner, that in itself is a reason to give him a second chance. If Vick can go out and speak against dog fighting, animal cruelty, or any of those similar topics then I am convinced he deserves to play. If he has Dungy backing him, I doubt he will mess up again. If he can stop some of the cruelty to animals by being a role model, then I hope he does really well and sells a lot of jerseys. Maybe the NFL should take some of his jersey proceeds and donate it to dog shelters across the US?
My fear is that if Vick gets his second chance and messes it up no one after Vick, will get a second chance. Life is full of second chances, I know I am somewhere around my 325th second chance.
PS. The NFL would not have enough players if it had a one chance policy.
That being said, I don't think it's right to prevent someone from earning a living. If the NFL chose not to reinstate him, he could try one of the lesser leagues. There is a difference between earning a living and being entitled to millions. The NFL is not obligated to furnish him with the latter.
At best, he's going to come out of this situation being a better person and learn how to be a professional in all aspects of his life. If that happens, I'm ok with that.
I can think of one off the top of my head that would want the media circus!
