Redskins Insider:
Washington Redskins wide receiver Santana Moss got into a skirmish with New York Giants cornerback Corey Webster early in the second quarter of the Redskins' 23-17 loss, tussling with the defensive back and exchanging several blows to the face. Moss' helmet was knocked off during the fight, which began when the two got into it as Moss was blocking Webster, and they had to be separated in the end zone after Webster took Moss down. The two received offsetting personal-foul penalties, and after the game Moss expressed regret for his actions. "It wasn't nothing personal. It was just that particular play," he said. "A couple of shoves got out of hand and then my helmet flew off and then I got a head butt to the eye. Once I got a head butt to the eye I just kind of, I'm just one of those guys I'm not just going

What a Waste of talent
Marko Mitchell was arguably the skins best reciever in the pre season and didn't get a pass or might not have even played offense. Santana Moss looked bad and I don't think Kelly or Thomas are ready for prime time players. It sad that this team is not playing one of it's best recievers IMO.
WRs react to Kelly's promotion
Malcolm Kelly was humble while rivals Antwaan Randle El and Devin Thomas were at peace with coach Jim Zorn's announcement that Kelly will open the season as the No. 2 receiver alongside veteran Santana Moss.
Giants-Redskins: 2 min to go
Jason Campbell is trying, but he’s falling apart at the moment. He threw an illegal pass which was picked off – he was across the line of scrimmage. He threw a flag pattern when Santana Moss rightly curled in to a post pattern. And then Jason failed to step up when throwing deep, even though [...]
Slideshow: NY Giants 23, Washington Redskins 17
Matt Rainey/The Star-LedgerNY Giants defensive back Corey Webster (23) and Washington Redskins wide receiver Santana Moss mix it up at the beginning of the second quarter Sunday. NY Giants knock off the divisional foe Washington Redskins in season-opener...
A Rough Start to a New Season
This so-called make-or-break season for Coach Jim Zorn and quarterback Jason Campbell got started with a 23-17 loss at the New York Giants. Struggling to find a rhythm on offense until the game's waning minutes, coaches will likely spot a lot of areas for improvement when they gather to review film. The Redskins' No. 1 receiver, Santana Moss, finished with just 6 yards on...
Redskins vs. Giants Game Review
photo taken from zimbio.com
What a game that was! Boy, Jacobs took a beating, didn’t he? I also felt that the refs weren’t calling fair penalties, especially when Santana Moss took all those shots at Webster. Eli was playing smoothly, making some nice crisp passes since the beginning of the game.
I was overall very happy with [...]
Just a GIANT observation.
This is the 1st thread I've posted in the stadium in awhile. Please merge this if its been covered in another thread.
I've ben reading and listening to some of the talk shows in the area. They're saying things like if the Skins lose Chris Samuels, Santana Moss or London Fletcher they're in...
Seen and heard at Giants Stadium
NEW YORK - Three longtime Redskins starters - two former Jets and a former Giants player - began their NFL careers by calling Giants Stadium home. Barring a Redskins-Giants playoff matchup in January, Sunday's game was their last in the place where they made their home debuts. The Giants and Jets are playing their last season in the stadium, which opened in 1976. Next season...
At Giants, After Further Review
Room to improveWithout full time to digest the entire chattering class, that likely will come tonight, I have some additional thoughts on the Giants game.First, it sucked watching the Redskins lose. It would have sucked to lose to anyone on Opening Day after an injury free preseason dedicated to the improved awesomeness of the Washington defense and the no really look how much better...
They'll walk through a wall for you
1) We talk about how the difference between teams #1 thru #26 in the NFL is not very large. Intangibles like coaching and emotion can make a #26 play like a #1 and we have numerous examples of coaches who turn good teams into underachievers in crunch time (think Marty Schottenheimer, Wade Phillips). It is only Week 1, it does not mean anything YET long term, but they are playing...
Q & A: A couple of gimmick formations for Giants
Did the Giants use any gimmicky formations? Yes, on offense and defense. On the first drive, they lined up with five receivers, sending Ahmad Bradshaw and Travis Beckum out of the backfield in motion. It resulted in an incomplete pass for Domenik Hixon . On defense, they unveiled their 5-1-5 set with Osi Umenyiora , Justin Tuck , Barry Cofield , Chris Canty and Mathias...
Giants secondary won't be at full strength
New York CB Aaron Ross has been ruled out of Sunday night's game because of a hamstring injury.
The Giants' Corey Webster has established himself as an elite cornerback. The most recent evidence came in New York's win over the Redskins, when he shut down Santana Moss.
But there is a significant drop-off from Ross to Terrell Thomas, who struggled against Antwan Randle...
Giants Show Their Stuff
Yes, it was only one game. And only the first game of the season which is probably one of the least reliable games as indicators go. But, with that proviso having been said, the Giants still answered a lot of questions in their 23-17 win over the Redskins in yesterday's home opener. The passing game looked solid. More than solid, it was diversified and dynamic. If I were an opposing...
