Faulk, 32, was suspended for New England's season-opening game against Kansas City on September 7 and fined an addition game check after he was found with hand-rolled cigars containing the drug at a rap concert in Lafayette, Louisiana, on February 22.

Pats' "final" roster has some surprises in the corner
The New England Patriots, along with every other NFL team, released enough players to get down to the 53-man roster requirement. Cassel really had a poor preseason, and while Gutierrez wasn't...

Pats Set Final Roster
The Pats cut their roster down to the required 53 players today and there were a couple surprises. The biggest would have to be the release of CB Fernando Bryant. Bryant was a staple in the preseason starting lineup and seemed like he had sewn up the job of replacing Asante Samuel. Alas, now he's gone and it looks like rookie Terrence Wheatley or vet Lewis Sanders will now be...

REPORT: Chad Jackson Cut
Mike Reiss is reporting that the Patriots informed wide receiver Chad Jackson this morning that they are cutting him from the roster.
This is somewhat of a surprise considering he was one of very few who had a good pre season, but they gave him 3 seasons and he didn't turn out like he was supposed to. They must think CJ Jones as a rookie is already better than Jackson.

Stray Arrows: Get Some Jackson Action?
The Patriots have cut former early second-round pick Chad Jackson, who they coveted so much they traded up to get him. I know a lot of people like some of the Chiefs' young receivers, but Jackson has more potential than any WR on our roster not named Dwayne Bowe. I ...
Phins Waive 2 More
The waiving of Anthony Armstrong was the first in what so far has amounted to three total waivers today.? Adding LB Rob Ninkovich and guard Trey Darilek to the waiver wire.

Most teams cut their roster down to 52 players at the deadline and that's it, they're ready to go for the season. But not the Pats.
