In the past week, more than a few key contributors have been held out of practice … including Kris Jenkins and Darrelle Revis, now we’re adding Nick Mangold to that list.
However, coach Rex Ryan said the injury to Mangold’s right knee is not believed to be serious. He said there is no ligament damage, and that he doesn’t know the timetable of Mangold’s return but he may miss a practice or two.
“Anytime you deal with a knee it is a little scary,” Ryan said, adding that “he should be fine.”
PFT warns that initial diagnoses can be premature, as the Browns saw with Hadnot. Mangold has had some tweaks in the past, and I’m struggling to find it online, but I think that it was his right knee … not sure if this injury was to that same knee.
It’s good to hear that he doesn’t think it’s serious, and that a little rest will be the remedy, but with a new regime and a new camp facility, it’s hard to tell ...
