No penalty for Robert Geathers on Trent Green hit

The NFL decided not to penalize the Robert Geathers for his hit on a sliding Trent Green. Trent was carted off the field after the play. The viciousness of the hit led some to believe that Geathers would be fined or even suspended. Cincy Jungle discusses in depth the NFL's response.

I'm comfortable with that -- I watched it from a few angles, and it really looked like Geathers was pushed first of all, and that even if he did spear Green, it wasn't intentially brutal. Good decision. Football, unfortunately, is dangerous.

I am a HUGE Chiefs fan and I agree with Tony G...that was not a dirty hit. Hey folks this is football, guys are going to get hurt and sometimes seriously hurt...this is a contact sport!
