There’s not one iota in Jonathan Ogden that still longs to play football. The former Ravens offensive tackle and certain Hall of Famer made that clear after the team’s practice this morning.
“Retirement’s a little different,” Ogden said. “It’s a little slower than when you’re out here working every day. I’m working on my golf game and preparing to do a little pre-game radio shows this year. Just something to stay busy. But besides that, I’m enjoying my time off. Just playing with my son, who is four, and just playing golf.”
Ogden, who retired prior to the 2008 season, said he watches many Ravens games and finds himself rooted in his sofa.
When asked if he yells at the television, Ogden said, “Of course. I did it on the sidelines, so I might as well keep going.”
By the way, in case you’re interested, Ogden can play a mean game of golf for a man who was listed at 6 feet, 9 inches and 345 pounds in his final year.
