This week is going to tell us a lot about the 2008 New York Jets! The last time the Jets won a road game anywhere outside of Miami was the end of the 2006 season. Yikes? So what chance do they have in San Diego? Well, there are a couple of things that make me think they have a fighting chance.

Confirmed Assumption: Canandians Obsessed with Hockey
Yes, They Really Do Love Their Hockey in CanadaBeen traveling for a few days North of the Border, so apologies for the lack of posts. To make up for it, we'll fire away on a few shorter, completely random posts. This would the first of those. You know how they always talk about how crazy Canadians are about hockey? We hadn't stepped in the country in a decade, but, after nary...
Ron Jaworski Being Sued For Fraudulent Misrepresentation
No, it's not for comparing every quarterback in the NFL to Brett Favre, it's actually an existing matter from one of his other business ventures. Ron Jaworski has a ton of non-Football related ventures and one of those is apparently called Ron Jaworski Golf Management. Well, the owner of Running Deer Golf Club in Elmer, New Jersey is taking Jaws to court and claiming that...
Fantasy Football Start'em Sit'em and Sleepers for Week 3
What a wild and crazy week of games. There were eight quarterbacks throwing for over 300 yards last weekend and Monday nights score fest provided a ton of drama in leagues everywhere. Hopefully you were the benefactor of all of the scoring.
Looking ahead to this weekend, there are a few more potential score fests and [...]
Packers Police Sets Return
Brett Favre is no longer part of the mix, but Wisconsin police departments are keeping the police set tradition alive.
Favre Most Untriumphant in Meadowlands Debut
It felt like it was meant to be, a symbolic changing of the guard in AFC if you will. The Meadowlands was unbelievably adorned with Brett Favre jerseys (green ones, blue one, green and yellow ones, and even makeshift spray painted ones), considering the fact that he had not played a single game in New Jersey as a Jet yet. The terrible cliches were out in force, including but not...
Blogger league update: Week 2
For the second week in a row, The Hazean (2-0) posted the highest score in our second annual blogger league.
Although it did not surpass last week's 136.36 point total, this week's score of 128.7 was no less impressive. Quarterback Jay Cutler led the way with 38.6 points, while the Titans' defense hung 20 points on [...]
Once Again, Dispelling Rumors About Romo
Just a minute ago on the NFL Network and earlier today in both the newspaper and on ESPN's Sportcenter, it is was again being "overblown" about Tony Romo and the game with the Packers. For the record, which he himself has created and kept consistent about, Tony Romo never was, or will be, a "cheesehead" or "Favre-lover."
Tony Romo did grow up...
NFL Plays Through Tense Day on Wall Street; Several Teams Narrowly Avert Disaster
Sunday was one of the most nerve-wracking days in the history of the NFL, as two of Wall Street's most venerable, albeit troubled, institutions – Lehman Brothers and Merrill Lynch – were on the brink of liquidation. As the drama unfolded in New York City boardrooms, the tension gripped teams around the league, as players had more to lose than just a stupid game.
Jackson out, Frerotte in for Vikings
Gus Frerotte will start Sunday for the Minnesota Vikings and for the remainder of the season, barring an injury (like headbutting a wall). Head coach Brad Childress made the announcement today, adding, "You don't crown a guy king and then the king doesn't have any clothes on and you say, 'Hey, he's still the king.'"
I don't really know what that...

Previewing and Picking the Saints at Broncos
After escaping narrow defeat thanks to a bad call, the Broncos look to move to 3-0 Sunday as they take on the offensive powered Saints at home at Invesco Field.? Denver not only got the called that saved the game, they also went for a gutsy two-point conversion, and got it.? It was the type of call that can set the course for the season, and in a season where nothing seems to be...

Broncos v. Saints = Blogger v. Blogger
Not too much of a gambling man. I play in one money league with a $50 buy-in, buy a lottery ticket every now and then when the jackpot is $200 million+ and hit up some $5 or $10 poker games with friends when available.
I take risks with my fantasy teams, but not so much with [...]
