TEAMS: New England Patriots
As we look forward to todays first game of the post-season, news on Patriots cornerback Ellis Hobbs is questionable with a groin injury.
If Hobbs is hobbled, then look for Randall Gay to see more action at corner and possibly rookie Brandon Meriweather playing at corner instead safety.
It was also reported earlier that hard hitting safety Rodney Harrison has been limited by a thigh injury and had some issues in practice with the injury being taped. If Harrison is also limited, this will mean more work safeties James Sanders and Eugene Wilson.
Add to the injury list defensive backs and special teamers Willie Andrews and Atwain Spann and there just may be a cause for concern if injuries happen during the game.
I would be really concerned if special teamers Mel Mitchel and Ray Ventrone take to the field in normal defensive situations. Mitchel has limited experience in normal defensive plays and Ventrone has only special teams experience.
The situation could call for wide receiver and fan favorite Troy Brown to make his first appearance in game this year. Also is Bam Childress still on the practice squad? I think he has practiced with the defense before.
Can Kelley Washington play corner or will the Wes Welker legend in New England eclipse Try Brown if Welker plays defense?
OH JEEZ! I wish the game would start already!

All Patriot Fans should Read This !!
Ok, is it just me or are you tired of hearing all this crap about Brady being gay, or the patrits shouldn't be allowed in the playoffs because of the spygate or they shouldn't be allowed in the playyoffs because of the spygate too. Well just remember that us patriots gotta stick together and everyone that talks smack about the patriots just says crap because their team will NEVER...
Patriots veteran defense to be tested versus Jaguars
The 16-0 New England Patriots had a great year offensively and Tom Brady & Co. overshadowing the defensive play of the likes of veterans Tedy Bruschi, Junior Seau, Mike Vrabel and Rodney Harrison.
Now in the playoffs and facing the Jaguars (someone commented they are now America's Team??), the Patriots defense has come under greater scrutiny.
The Jaguars...
Are Pats Dirty, Lucky orJust Plain Great?
As the Patriots race toward immortality, we can't help but wonder how much help they needed from the offcials to get here. From Randy Moss' pushoffs, to Tom Brady's suspiciously outstanding pass protection, to Rodney Harrison and his human personal foul wrecking crew.
Patriots Quote Of The Week
This week's comment comes from Patriots WR Donte' Stallworth talking about his 53-yard fourth-quarter reception and getting tackled from behind.)
Video: Skip Bayless Says Wes Welker Had A Better Season Than T.O.
The fact that Wes has Randy Moss on one side, and Stallworth on the other side to occupy the opposing teams best cornerbacks didn't matter much to Skip. The fact that Terrell Owens had almost double the amount of touchdowns that Welker did didn't matter much either.
Patriots/Jaguars matchup
The classic showdown: are the Jaguars the ones to beat the unbeaten patriots? No they are not. Many say the Jaguars have too good of a running game for the Patriots. I disagree. The Pats oversized Defense will crush and shut down Jone-Drew and Fred Taylor. Their Defense was ranked 4th on the entire league this year for the run. They held LT to under 100 yards easily and LT is , in...
Explanation Wanted
What in the world was Rodney Harrison doing post-interception in yesterday's Jags game. As he stuck the ball out, slowed his gait and sashayed out of bounds, no one said a word. Did he just quit on the play? Was it just meant to belittle his opponents? Was no one bothered by his actions, or is it that this guy is such a knob job that no one was the least bit surprised and raised...
Jaguars: Let's do this
It started out as a motto before the season began to get people to buy tickets. It has grown to become a mantra for a team that nobody knows.
Patriots vs. Jaguars LIVE thread (1st half).
If you aren't watching the game, or you just don't feel like listening to Jim Nantz and Phil Simms going on and on about how great the Patriots are, here's a little live game thread of tonight's Patriots-Jaguars game.
Patriots Beat Jaguars, Move Onto AFC Championship

Game On! Pats vs. Jags
So we're just about 24 hours away from game time. It will be 24 long hours, but 24 hours nonetheless. Gone are the bye week and the anxious waiting for the game to finally arrive. I don't know about you, but I'm a little sick of all the talk and hype leading up to the game for the last two weeks. I'm ready for some football…some playoff football! For the past week you've heard a lot of the
