TEAMS: Washington Redskins, New Orleans Saints, Kansas City Chiefs
The Redskins took the practice field this afternoon and began installing the gameplan for the Kansas City Chiefs. What they aren't sure about right now is just who will perform punting duties for them this Sunday. As Hunter Smith recovers from a groin injury suffered Oct. 4 against Tampa Bay, the Redskins on Monday released Glenn Pakulak, their punter for last Sunday's loss to the Panthers. But this morning, they re-signed Pakulak to the practice squad, which means if Smith still isn't healthy enough to play, Pakulak will be ready to go against the Chiefs. Smith said today that he's feeling better but is still "day to day." "We're just going to see how it is at the end of the week... I think we're making significant progress," he said. "I don't know if we're going to be ready to play or not."

Past errors, future concerns for Redskins
Year after year, the Washington Redskins' front office ignored offensive line depth in the draft and free agency with the exceptions of a lower-round pick, career journeymen and young projects.
