Saintsrecap
Going into this game, the Saints were aiming to become the first team in NFL history to win 5 straight games after losing their first 4. The Rams were aiming to just get a win, period. In their first drive, New Orleans looked as though they would fulfill their prophecy as the Rams were flagged with an offsides AND a pass interference on the same play to give the Saints the ball on the Rams' 7 yard line. On the next play, Reggie Bush punched it in from 7 yards out to give the Saints a 7-0 lead.

  • Rams are total different team with Steven Jackson playing full time, even though he is only about 75% OK (bulging disk).
Holt is 75% with a bad knee not totally healed from surgery, and Bruce just came back from a concussion and a hamstring.
Bulger is playing with two broken ribs.
The offensive line on has Barron (now at LT), and McCollum at center, everyone else is gone to IR.
Leonard Little, their best defensive player is also gone to IR.
What I am trying to say is that it is amazing that they won. Linehan called his best game yet, playing to win and not sitting on the lead, and using Bennett and MacMichael, weopons they got in the off-season to improve their red zone offense.
I will be at the Ram/49rs game next week to give a further report. The Rams are a streaky sort. Don't be surprised they put a string of wins together towards the end of the season, as long as #39 stays in. He is the heart of this team. Period.
P.S: The Rams were leading Cleveland 14-0, before Jackson left the game with back spasms two weeks ago.
  • Very good points. People are a tad premature in calling for Linehan's head given the just insane amount of injuries on this team this year. I'm pretty sure no NFL team could put together a string of wins behind an offensive line that has changed 10 times since the year began and is now playing practice squad guys as starters.
I'd love to hear your report on the 49ers game since you'll be in the stands. Feel free to drop by my board @ http://stlouisramsx.com/phpBB2/ if you get a chance. We'd love to hear more of what you've got to say.

Rams Review- Week 10: How Sweet It Is!

This afternoon could have been the greatest afternoon of my entire life. The St. Louis Rams won their first NFL game of 2007! It is a great day to be a Rams fan. I have been waiting for a long time but it finally happened. The Rams are 1-8, and yes, we have lost eight and won only one. But nonetheless, being a fan of the Rams could be the best thing to be right now.

I Am Finally Dumping The Rams!

My name is Rick, and I'm a recovering Ram-o-holic... I'm happy to report, it's been a whole season since I watched my last "St. Louis" Rams game. I'm also happy to report that today is the first day of the rest of my life. And I wish to spend the rest of my life without you in it Georgia! In case you haven't been counting, it's been twelve...
