Recovering from What should have been ours!

Well let me first start off by saying that I'm still feeling the loss against the giants. That was a definitely a game that hurt the most, almost surreal. But at the same time we have t tip our hats off to the giants beating the 18-0 Patriots. It was funny because almost the whole team stayed that following wee after we lost because we did not want to believe that we lost. And i just felt that everyone in America that night wanted us to win that game and we had home field advantage, so it was even in our favor. So finally getting passed that its time to move from that loss look forward to the new season coming up.

So now we are in the off season been hitting it pretty hard at the gym. And people still bring up the giants game. And i sort of have to block it out because people keep bringing it up at the gym or at my old high school or even my junior college. But its OK I just have to keep pushing and not think about it

So in my off time i have been visiting my high school talking to kids about hard work and dedication. I was very rewarding considering I was sitting in there shoes and there desks not too long ago. So i think i actually some of the students because when the bell rung, the student wouldn't leave they had some many questions to ask me. Like what I did to get where I'm at now ? and what little things did i do to be good at what I do? I may have talked about one question for like an hour. So some of the students we so shocked that they finally met me and shook my hand for literally for like 2 minutes straight..haha and he couldn't look me in the eye. I got to my grade school tomorrow and talk to 5 and 6 graders so we will see how that goes.

hey jarrett welcome to the yard! it's awesome that you're going back to where you came from, talking to the kids, and inspiring them. take some pictures and show us!! :)

Hi Jarrett, great to hear you're giving some back to the community. Sounds like it's really rewarding too. As for the Giants game, don't bury it - use it. Take that feeling, bundle it up with the knowledge that you got to the Championship and use that emotion in your favor. Let it drive in the gym, in practice and out on the field and turn that hurt in to motivation. That's a great young squad up there in the Bay and if #4 sticks around next year there's no reason you shouldn't get another shot this year. Keep up the good work and keep us posted!

I was rooting for you guys to beat the Giants, I was so upset that you didnt, but I think you guys have a good team, and will get better. Nice that you're giving back to the community, especially with all the bad press sports and athletes in general have been getting. Good luck in the future.

Great stuff Jarrett. Man are you lucky to be playing in Gbay. I was up there for the season opener vs Philly and could not believe how great the people are up there. Not to mention the history that runs so deep on that field. Don't ever forget that your interactions on and off the field are so important. Especially, with those kids who can't even look you in the eye because they worship the ground you walk on. Keep writing in here, we love hearing about the players and what you guys are up to.

Hope to see you on here Jarrett. I watched every game I could this season, and I was disappointed when it ended. YOu guys will be back next year!
