'Skins start out looking good recovering an onside kick to kick of the Jim Zorn era. The first drive of the new era ends with me needing a new pair of panties as Campbell starts out 2-2 with a beautiful TD to Randle-El on what looked to be blown coverage. I know I'm not supposed to get excited about a preseason game especially still in the first two minutes but f*ck that I am now more optimistic going into the season than ever before!! Now for the first look at the 'skins D. No Peyton Manning but a dominating performance will still say a lot. Not a great first defensive series for the 'skins as they showed classic bend but don't break defense as they let the Colts march down the field without too much difficulty but managed to hold the Colts to a FG after just missing an interception opportunity. The 'skins start their second drive from the 20 and gives us the first opportunity to really see what the offense is made of. I am curious to see wha...

So, What to Make of Colt Brennan?

In the first professional football of the season, John Madden lavished all over him, the crowd cheered him on, and teammates laughed at and for him. Two touchdown passes, some crafty footwork, and intense staring by Jim Zorn were the highlights of Colt Brennan's debut for the Washington Redskins. If last night's performance was any indication, the D.C. Dreamboat has certainly...

Hall of Famer Art Monk, Redskins Fans And the Ovation to End All Ovations

Big Money's HOF speech was "simply fantastic", but it was the four-minute ovation which preceded it that stole the show in Canton, Ohio. To me, it was the NFL equivalent of Cal Ripken's record-breaking night at Camden Yards...

Preseason Starts for Colts with 30-16 Loss to Redskins

Capping off a tremendous Hall of Fame Weekend, the Colts and Redskins entertained the fans at Fawcett Stadium on Sunday night to a little taste of preseason football, with the Skins outslugging the Colts 30-16.  The story of the back and forth contest was the play of the four Skins QB's, who are all learning [...]

Colts RB Mike Hart Impressive In Debut

Indianapolis Colts RB Mike Hart rushed just four times in the Colts' loss on Sunday night. But on those four carries, he gained 53 yards to lead all Colts rushers. HC Tony Dungy said Hart did what he has done throughout training camp: play solidly, consistently and productively. "We've seen that from Mike for four years of college and we've seen it every day in practice...

The Colts Have Gotta Have Hart

Are you kidding me that Mike Hart is listed as the 5th RB on the Colts roster?? With only 4 carries in the HOF game today, Hart showed Colts coaches, players, and fans why he was the most fun player to watch in college football over the last few years - racking up a very quick 53 yards.

Colts v. Redskins Hall of Fame Game

A recap and notes from this year's preseason debut between the Indianapolis Colts and Washington Redskins.

Darrell Green and Art Monk: Head of the Class

You can blame it on free agency, the evolution of sports celebrity, and the de-evolution of society in general, but the Redskins and the Washington metro-area will never see a couple of guys who combined class and ability like Darrell Green and Art Monk. Ever.

Redskins Observations, 'Skins Pummel Colts, 30-16

–> Jason Campbell looked very comfortable in the Jim Zorn offense and went 5 for 5 and connected with Antwann Randle El. His deeper drop and the fact he is playing with a healthy starting offensive line really allowed Campbell to move the ball. So the key — Health!

The Four Minutes That Show How Every Redskins Fan Feels About Art Monk

Darrell Green is by far my favorite Football player to ever play the game, but yesterday was all about Art Monk. I think this four minute standing ovation shows exactly how every Football fan feels about his entrance into the Hall....Congrats Art....it's about damn time.
