Redskins teammate to honor Taylor by buying GUN!

Not sure of his logic here. That's all we need a shoot out and another player dead.

"was always scared of guns growing up,'' Samuels said. "But this situation has told me I need one. I'd rather be prepared than to be like Sean was, and not have a gun in his house when he really needed it"

I'm all for protecting yourself, but to Honor someone like this not sure is appropriate.

What are you talking about honoring???? He is honoring himself and buying a gun for himself. Not for Sean Taylor. Sean just opened his eyes and now he thinks he needs to be protected because he knows nobody is safe. I really dont see where you get honoring from.

Sean Taylor may have had a gun if his license wasn't revoked for brandishing one at a club. Tsk, tsk.

So even after your assumptions were proven wrong, you're still finding a way to blame this on Sean Taylor?

Admit it: The man was a victim, murdered in cold blood through no fault of his own.

I love the fact that you follow me around this site. It's nice having a fanclub. As for the man-crush you have on the late Mr. Taylor, let's see how the trial shakes out. I'm just glad it didn't happen to an innocent person...

Smart idea on Samuels' part. My house in North Carolina contains 40+. Most of thos for collection reasons but we do have 3 guns that are used for protection. My parents each have one and when I am home there is one for me. Either way, honoring is a stupid choice of word.

We're raised to fear hand guns up here in New England. When I was stationed in Virginia, it was another world with concealed carry laws. They see a citizen's arrest of a knife carrying mugger as a good thing. Most New Englanders would want to lock up the guy with the gun instead.

I'm not sure if you can classify this as "honoring". Some people use a tragedy as a wake up call, and I think that is what Samuels is doing here.

I don't think we're sure of YOUR logic here....or what theoneandonly said. Not everything that every Redskin player does is supposed to be a tribute.

You dont understand what I said??

Would you think Sean would want you to honor him like this, since you call it honoring him. Plus he was protecting his family, so you would need some honoring and no because he was in the NFL.

Herro Dicekmania! You have been called out.

Please either provide supporting evidence explaining why Samuels is honoring Sean Taylor with this action and not simply trying to protect himself, or change the title to something more appropriate; "Redskins player buys gun for protection after teammate is killed by home intruder."

Not sure that he was honoring Mr. Taylor in any way, and he is right regarding the sad state of things meaning that he should purchase a gun. The 2nd amendment was written to protect citizens from the government; my how things have changed. either way, guns scare the sh&t out of me.

Glad to see my headline drummed up so much chatter.

Guns don't kill, people do!

Yea your an idiot we are not talking about if a gun kills people we know people kill people.. The point is you are putting up inaccurate things on the headline drawing people in on this. Put something on here that is not fake!!
