PLAYERS: Harvey Dahl
TEAMS: Atlanta Falcons

I have to give Bryan Broaddus of ESPN Radio and CBS Sports credit for this one, but he points out that Atlanta's starting right guard is a former Cowboy, Harvey Dahl. Dahl did not pop up in my memory at all, but he was signed as an undrafted free agent out of Nevada-Reno in 2005 ... and cut before training camp began. After some time in NFL Europe and on San Francisco's practice squad, he found a home in Atlanta. Dahl started all 16 games last year and the first five this year. From 2005 on, the Cowboys have drafted six offensive linemen and only Rob Petitti (sixth round, 2005) started a game and Petitti was gone after that one season.

Pressuring Falcons QB Matt Ryan

Atlanta quarterback Matt Ryan just does not take sacks. So far this year he has been sacked only twice in 156 pass attempts. After watching the Falcons-Bears game again, the reason is simple: he does not do many seven-step drops, he will not hold on to the ball, coordinator Mike Mularkey does a good job of getting him outside the pocket. By my unofficial count, Ryan took only four...

Getting to Falcons' Ryan won't be easy for Ware and Co.

Getting to Falcons quarterback Matt Ryan has been all but impossible this season thanks to a scarcity of seven-step drops. In fact, Atlanta has gone four-straight games without allow a sack. Miami's Phillip Merling was the last player to sack Ryan, dropping him with 9:06 left in the third quarter of the season opener. For the season, Ryan has been sacked only twice in 156 pass...

Coming off a shocking 11-5 season in 2008, many saw the Atlanta Falcons as a fluke. That may be changing soon. In Week 1 of the 2009 season, Atlanta faced off with the Miami Dolphins in a "Battle of the Overachievers" from the previous year...Read the full article on Bleacher Report...
