John McClain of the Houston Chronicle is reporting that the Texans traded defensive tackle Travis Johnson to the San Diego Chargers today in exchange for a conditional draft choice - either a fifth- or sixth-round pick based on Johnson's performance.

Texans' Schaub not expected to miss opener
Houston's Matt Schaub is not expected to play Friday because of a sprained ankle, but he should be ready for the regular-season opener.
He'll be listed as day-to-day this week as the Texans prepare to wrap up the preseason against Tampa Bay.
Coach Gary Kubiak says he is not concerned about the possibility that he'll miss Houston's opener against the Jets on Sept. 13.
