There are more and more of these stories coming out. Anyone who has stood for autographs knows that while Taylor often gave a cold shoulder to the press, he didn't do that to the fans.

I thought with all of the speculation about ST's past and character, it was fitting to re-post this blog I wrote in July...
Most of the time, when you hear Sean Taylor's name, you hear about the monster hits, the spitting incident or ATV's. Very rarely do you hear anything positive and personal about the 'skins safety. I was lucky enough to witness a very different side of ST yesterday, and I want to recount it here.
First, I'll need to start with a little background information. My son, Jackson, is a soon-to-be-six year old that has gained a bit of a reputation as a kid with an uncanny knowledge of Redskins personnel. Before his second training camp, just prior to turning two, we bought him a 'Skins' yearbook and he would pick pages and ask who the players were. We would, of course, tell him who each player was. Soon, he could name every - and I mean EVERY - player listed inside that guide.
He could pick out Laveranues Coles on commercials without...

Good Thing New York Fans are So Understanding
You know it's been "that" kind of year this season for the Jets, when WR Laveranues Coles reinjures his ankle while sitting on the rehab table so he can have his ankle worked on, and the training table collapses."I had a setback (Saturday) at the hotel," Coles said. "Getting treatment, one of the ...
A DC Tale
Wilbon reminds us of who Taylor was, while Taylor's supporters try to educate us on who he was becoming. Neither is mutually exclusive.
Either way, "The saddest thing in life is wasted talent."

Steeler Fined $5,000 For Small Sean Taylor Tribute
By etching the number 21 into his eye black last weekend, Steelers safety Ryan Clark saw it as a way to honor his former fallen teammate Sean Taylor. But the NFL saw it as a way to collect an easy $5,000 in league fines.

Sean Taylor died early Tuesday morning after being shot in the leg on Monday by a burglar. We are all saddened by this unfortunate event and send our condolences to the Taylor family. Wilbon and Shapiro Are Scum
I have read what the Washington Post's Michael Wilbon and Len Shapiro have had to say about the tragic murder of Sean Taylor and I have to say, they are the lowest human beings known to mankind for their callous words about his death. Long post, but see if you agree.
Taylor Shot
I'll try to keep you updated, but let's face it, I'm not ESPN. I don't have reporters I can dispatch to stand outside the hospital for word. But hey, if by chance my buddy Antwaan Randle El calls me to let me know, I'll be the first to tell you.
John Lynch Last Piece of Redskins Super Bowl Puzzle
John Lynch has been reported as "considering his options" and has left Broncos camp today. The ESPN article quotes him as saying, "I'm going to explore all of my opportunities. Is it retirement? Maybe. Is it playing for another team? Maybe. [Coach] Mike [Shanahan] has given me the opportunity to explore that and that's what I'm going to do. But I won'...
Owens To Buffalo-REALLY
To borrow a catch phrase from the ever so popular “Weekend Update” on SNL, Buffalo signing T.O....REALLY?! They didn't prefer Laveranues Coles, no offer to Houshmanzadah, was Marvin Harrison too old? REALLY?! When hiring an employee, is it not normal procedure to get a background check on the individual BEFORE they are hired? IF that were to be done, what would it have been...
Athletes and Guns
If the early theory turns out to be right and Taylor was shot in a home invasion robbery, can we continue to blame athletes for carrying guns? Sean Taylor would be the third athlete THIS YEAR to be held at gunpoint in his own home. At some point you have to draw a line in the sand and decide to protect yourself, right?
Jets Draft Overview - Number 6 Selection
There is still about a month until the NFL Draft and free agency has basically dried out, leaving the news slow on the NFL and Jets front. Outside of the ongoing contract negotiations with Laveranues Coles and a rumor here or there about a Dewayne Robertson trade, not much is going on. Let’s ta...
