Rocky will likely begin the year on the Physically Unable to Perform (PUP) list. He's a good bet to miss a few games in September and October while he gets back into midseason form and tests his reconstructed knee. He will likely play for the team in 2008, and should be a starter again, barring the possible acquisition of Lance Briggs.

Has Keenan McCardell Reached the End of the Line?

Does Keenan McCardell still have gas in his tank? The 38 year old is a free agent after his one year deal with the Washington Redskins. There is a 50:50 chance that he will retire, but Redskins writer Greg Trippiedi says the Skins can still use him.

You Wouldn't Like Doug Williams When He's Angry

I was always under the impression that Doug Williams would only get mad if someone denounced his book, "Quarterblack." Guess we were all wrong.

Giants To Make Big Pitch To Spagnuolo

Steve Spagnuolo is a popular man right now. Through the playoffs, he devised attacks to stop Tony Romo, Brett Favre and Tom Brady. Needless to say, the league is impressed, especially the Washington Redskins. Spagnuolo flew into Washington earlier this week and has been participating in Dan Snyder's whirlwind interview process; set to culminate at the end of the day. The Redskins...

Spagnuolo goes home

Steve Spagnuolo was not offered the Redskins head coach job. He either: preferred the fat new contract offered by the Giants; or, he was a year away from head coach material. Redskins writer Anthony Brown wonders if Spags was the best fit for the Skins and says this may not be ideal for Jim Fassel, either.

At Least He's Not as Dumb as Khalif Barnes

Dolphins linebacker Channing Crowder was driving around 5:00 Wednesday morning and crashed into a tree.  Man, between Crowder, Barnes and Lance Briggs, I'm beginning to think NFL players should be required to take a driver's exam every 5 years.  Unlike Jaguars offensive lineman Khalif ...
