Found July 31, 2008 on Dawg Pound Daily:
Newly added D-lineman Shaun Rogers has been creating a buzz around him thus far in the team's training camp, and trust me when I saw that the o-line knows he's here. Hank Fraley, certainly has had his fill of Rogers thus far, and Joe Thomas can't say enough about him either. Rogers has been able to switch from the Detroit Lions 4-3 'D' to the 3-4 that the Browns run, and on top all of that Rogers has had to switch to Nose Tackle as well, and the team has been moving him around to the ends too, providing even more versatility and value to the team. Hopefully this is a sign of good things to come for the Browns defense, and it looks like Rogers has shed the slacker label he developed while a Lion.

A history of Baltimore football, Part 2

Browns Nemisis Too Fat To Play

If any of you been to training camp or seen them play else where in person, then I'm sure you know that Shaun Rogers, Corey Williams, Robaire Smith, and Shaun Smith are all pretty big guys, well you may change your mind in a moment. Seems as though Pittsburgh Steelers D-lineman Casey Hampton, is too fat to participate in the team's training camp and has been placed on the...

Browns Training Camp: Yawn

If you think that watching a football practice is probably one of the most boring things you can do for a couple of hours, you are so right. I went to Browns training camp in Berea, OH, this afternoon along with a couple of fellow Browns fanatics. We came fired up to see the beloved Brownies getting ready for the upcoming season, and we left bored. On the plus side, I did get some decent pics.

No Doubt Crennel Was a Player’s Coach

We?ve heard nearly all the Browns say at one point or another that they love and respect Romeo Crennel. I heard Joe Thomas and Brady Quinn talk at length yesterday during a press conference about how disappointed in the way things turned out for Romeo. Then today I see D?Qwell Jackson?s ...

02/10 (Not-so) Morning Minute: Cribbs to the Crib

Yes, today is the day of the Pro Bowl.  Yes, I know that Brett Frave and Tom Brady aren’t playing.  But frankly, I don’t care.  Because Braylon Edwards, Joshua Cribbs, Joe Thomas, Ryan Pontbriand and Derek Anderson are.  I know that the game has lost its luster over the years, but as ...

Why Fire Two Scouts at Such a Pivotal Time?

Yesterday the Browns parted ways with two scouts - midwest scout Kevin Kelly and national scout Daniel Jeremiah.  Kelly is best known for luring Pro Bowler Josh Cribbs to the Browns in addition to scouting players such as LT Joe Thomas, QB Brady Quinn, and Braylon Edwards.  These firings come at ...

MANUFACTURED JOY - OAKLAND RAIDERS

by Zac, Throwing Into Traffic1. Jamarcus Russell isn't actually 300 pounds!Although you'd have trouble telling by looking at him. Seriously though, we've made fun, but after panning the Raiders for picking him last year (and they should have gone with Joe Thomas; that is not up for debate), I've come around to wanting to see what he can do. Last year, in limited...
