Ron Dayne heads to Texans

Former first round pick Ron Dayne was signed by the Texans after being cut by the Broncos on Saturday. This move doesnt help people drafting their RBs for fantasy leagues this week since it will be a 3-way competition in Texas between Wali Lundy, Vernand Morency and Dayne. That said, Dayne actually has a chance to succeed in the short term here since he knows Kubiak's offense from Denver.

Looks like Houston is expected to use Dayne in short-yardage and goal-line situations (http://www.chron.com/disp/story.mpl/sports/fb/texansfront/4160978.html). Same old story for Ron Dayne--everyone wants to use him as a short-yardage back even though he's never proved to be adept at picking up the tough yards. The Houston backfield is indeed a fantasy nightmare this year.

Is it me, or is there an unusually high number of fantasy nightmare backfields this year?
