Former Vikings Pro Bowl safety Darren Sharper has shown through two weeks that he's got plenty in the proverbial tank. Sharper, who the Vikings opted not to re-sign during the offseason, has flourished with the 2-0 New Orleans Saints. Sharper already has three interceptions, exceeding the one he had in 16 games last season, and he has a whopping 176 return yards, including a 97-yard touchdown Sunday in a 48-22 defeat of the Philadelphia Eagles. In an interview in March with the Pioneer Press, Sharper said he chose the Saints because he expected greatness from them. "It's a chance to go the Super Bowl," Sharper said at the time. "We have the best offense in the league. We needed to add some things, and I think we did." The Saints defense, rated 23rd last season, is only 21st now.
