Sloppy Jets must 'stop giving games away'

EAST RUTHERFORD, N.J. — The frustration was palpable in the New York Jets' locker room after Sunday's 30-25 loss to the Miami Dolphins that denied them a payback victory and evened their record at 4-4 heading into a bye week.   "We were flying high, and a lot of things happened these last couple of weeks," Jets cornerback Darrelle Revis said.   The latest example of their misfortune: The Jets more than tripled the Dolphins in total offense, amassing a 378-to-104 edge in yardage but still lost for the fourth time in their past five games.   "I truly feel that our football team is good enough to beat anybody in this league," Jets coach Rex Ryan said. "But we also can lose to anybody if we spot a team three touchdowns."   What happened against the Dolphins was both typical and atypical of this team, which right tackle Damien Woody admits is "average right now."   All is not lost, however.
