It should have come as no surprise to New York Jets fans that quarterback Mark Sanchez looked poised, sharp and ready to lead in his preseason debut Friday night.
The Jets knew what they were doing when they traded up to the No. 5 slot in this year's draft and anointed the former USC star as their quarterback of the future.

Last year saw the New York Jets walk off the field dejected amidst a Miami Dolphins celebration—who captured their first division title in eight years.
It would be the last time Jets fans would see Brett Favre, Laveranues Coles, Mike Nugent, and head coach Eric Mangini as their once bright season had burned up right in front of their eyes.
The off-season brought many changes...
