Back to work today here in Florham Park, where the Jets re-convened after a six-day break. A few tidbits from the FloP:
I approached S Kerry Rhodes and asked about his lack of big plays over the first half of the season (zero sacks, zero INTs, zero forced fumbles). Rhodes' response: "It's a good question to ask."
He, too, is wondering about the lack of plays. Remember, this was supposed to be a big year for Rhodes, who figured to thrive in Rex Ryan's system. Should I mention all the Ed Reed comparisons for the umpteeth time?
"I'm discouraged, too," Rhodes told me. "I think I can make big plays and I think everybody else knows that, too. It just hasn't been there ... I think this has been one of the best years I've had as far as coming down (in the box) and being aggressive, being a big tackler and making all the plays that are there to be made.
