In this week's Sports Illustrated poll, Leon Washington was named by his peers as one of the top returners in the NFL. Nearly 300 players responded to this question: Who is the league's most dangerous return man?
The results:
Devin Hester, Bears 48.6%
Josh Cribbs, Browns 14.9%
Leon Washington, Jets 8.9%
Darren Sproles, Chargers 7.8%
Roscoe Parrish, Bills 6.4%
Washington, who suffered a severe broken leg more than two weeks ago in Oakland, made an appearance yesterday at the Jets' practice. He was getting around with a motorized cart. I'm told that he already has begun rehab.
In case you're wondering, Ted Ginn, Jr. received only one vote, but that's because the poll was taken in September. His stock has soared recently, especially after his double dagger to the Jets' heart.
