PLAYERS: Claude Wroten
TEAMS: St. Louis Rams

Claude Wroten was suspended Wednesday for the entire 2008 NFL season for violating the NFL's substance abuse policy again. I don’t think anyone is really surprised by this. I for one am glad that we got this out of the way early. Now we know we will not be able to rotate Wroten in on [...]

Wroten Donezo

Well, when I penned my first piece for Ramsgab, I expected to be proved wrong eventually, but I didn't think it would be on my first day. Just hours after I wrote that Rams DT Claude Wroten is someone to watch in training camp, Profootballtalk reports that he will be doing a lot more watching. Wroten it is reported has been suspended for the season for a violation of the substance...

The St. Louis Rams signed Justin King on Wednesday July 23rd, to a three year contract. Justin was the Rams fourth-round draft pick, and the 101st overall pick in the 2008 NFL draft. Justin King is a cornerback from Penn State and was all Big Ten first-team in 2007. Scott Wright’s Draft Countdown had Justin [...]

Rams Jam-up at CB

The Rams currently have quite a few players at the cornerback position and newly drafted and signed Justin King to add to the mix. Is there going to be a training camp battle? Let's lay it out RamsGab style. Stlouisrams.com divides the corners up to left and right, so we will start it out on the right. Brown, Fakhir RCB ? Brown is the starter on the right unless he fails or misses...

The Lo Down

At long last, Football has returned. On Friday the Rams open up with their first full contact practice in preparation for the 2008 season. As those of us amerced in Rams fandom have become accustomed over the past few years, a plethora of question marks are hanging over the blue and gold as camp opens. Before the Rams marketplace opens, I offer up my advice on whose stock you should...

Donnie Avery Still Missing From St. Louis Rams Training Camp

As the St. Louis Rams arrived in Mequon, Wisconsin to start training camp one thing was missing, Donnie Avery. Avery the St. Louis Rams second-round draft pick, and number 33 overall pick in the 2008 NFL draft has yet to sign a contract. This is a terrible move on Avery's part. How stupid can you [...]

Here We Go Again!

Well it did not take long for the St. Louis Rams fans to receive bad news, even before training camp started. The Rams announced Tuesday that Orlando Pace will begin training camp on the physically unable to perform list (PUP). It has been almost a full calendar year since Orlando was hurt in the first [...]

Rams Come to Terms with 4th Round Pick King

The Rams today signed fourth-round draft pick Justin King. The team agreed with King on a three-year deal. He was the 101st overall pick out of Penn State, where last season he was an all-Big Ten first-team selection. The only pick now for the Rams that has not been signed is second-round WR Donnie Avery.

Justin King signs with Rams

Wednesday, former Penn State cornerback Justin King signed a three-year deal with the St. Louis Rams. The amount of the deal wasn't released when I heard this, but I imagine it's a nice package. The Rams need all the defense they can get, and with a guy like King, things will only get better.

Claude Wroten

I remember Wroten from High school. We both went to Bastrop High School in Bastrop, LA. Of course he was a Senior and I was a freshman. But I remember him walking around the halls during break and I was thinkin to myself "good god that guy is a big SOB". I always wondered what he did on his off-time, because I knew that drugs in Bastrop where very bad at the time. Well, I guess...
