From the notebook of a fan who has just realized he’ll miss many of the Steelers' regular season games due to spending majority of the season in central New York. Favorite Moment: Seeing Willie Parker turn the corner to both the endzone and reassurance that he is back to his old form. Favorite Play: Keiwan Ratliff’s interception on second and 10. Ratliff not only made a great play on the ball but also showed some good return ability. Favorite Stat: 1-7: That was Jason Cambell’s completion-attempts for the game against the Steelers first team defense. While the rest of the Redskins QBs played well, Cambell was totally shut down by the Steelers first team. Favorite No-Name Player: Stefan Logan, who averaged 39.2 yards on kick returns against Washington. Logan also showed good ability in the punt return game and has looked like an unknown version of Darren Sproles in training camp. Despite some poor performances, this game was a very good thing for the Steel...

The irony is this mutt probably has a better command of the playbook than several of the starters, and unlike Jeff...

Burress talks about the night of the shooting

Here’s video of former Giants receiver Plaxico Burress talking with ESPN E:60’s Jeremy Schaap about what happened during the night he shot himself: Some will blame the security at the nightclub, which was, without question, irresponsible for allowing Burress to enter the club knowing he had the gun tucked in his waistband. He's not playing anymore, but Plaxico Burress is still coachable

Facing two years in the joint, Plaxico Burress(notes) no longer has any use for a coach who will make him run wind sprints or put him through Oklahoma drills. No, Plaxico's new coach is more likely to teach him how to sharpen a toothbrush into a shank than he is to teach him how to run a sharp dig route. Plaxico has hired a prison coach, or prison consultant, or an "...
