Texans looking good at minicamp
After the Texans' morning workout at minicamp, GM Rick Smith asked me what I had learned from watching the practice. I laughed.
'Tis is rare that I learn anything from football practice, particularly a practice in shells on a Saturday morning in May. Oh, on occasion you can get a sense of who is moving well ( Mario Williams, but that's a surprise to who?), and you can make some amateur-eye physical observations ( Fred Weary and Anthony Weaver have slimmed down), but for the most part, as I told Smith, I don't know what I have learned until I ask the coaches and players who did what and who didn't.
