It's a big week for the Buffalo Bills NFL franchise and not so-coincidentally it has to do with the NFL's annual Hall of Fame Weekend in Canton, Ohio. With former star Defensive End Bruce Smith and Owner Ralph Wilson being inducted into the Hall and the team playing in the annual Hall of Fame game...let's just say there are a lot of folks from Western New York in Ohio at the moment.
Here is the weekend lowdown from the Rochester Democrat and Chronicle.

Owens' debut with Bills kicks off preseason
When Terrell Owens makes his debut in a Bills uniform Sunday, little does he realize how much influence a certain newly inducted member of the Pro Football Hall of Fame had in getting him to Buffalo.
That person would be team owner Ralph Wilson.

Bills' McKelvin is the toast of camp
Lee Evans runs what looks like a short route and Leodis McKelvin takes the bait. A stutter step, a quick burst of speed and Evans blows by McKelvin to catch a long pass. Touchdown.
Terrell Owens catches a quick slant as McKelvin charges up to make the stop. Owens plants his right foot in the ground and breaks to the outside, leaving a fallen McKelvin sprawling on the turf. T.O...
Buffalo excited to 'knock the rust off '
How Trent Edwards plays tonight in the Buffalo Bills' preseason opener won't have a bearing on where he stands on the depth chart.
He's the Bills' starting quarterback, no ifs, ands or buts.
The 8 p.m. game against the Tennessee Titans has more meaning for the undrafted free agents and lower-round draft picks. The Hall of Fame Game in Canton, Ohio, will be their...
Buffalo Bills' Smith, Wilson reunited at Hall of Fame
Standing in the ballroom of the stately McKinley Grand Hotel, Bruce Smith walked up to Ralph Wilson and shook his former boss' hand.
As the cameras clicked away, the two men basked in the glow of a moment that had to seem surreal.

Historical Society marks 50 years of Bills history with fan's memorabilia
Leave it to uberfan Greg Tranter to spread the word well in advance that the Buffalo Bills are about to kick off their 50th season in professional football.
A Massachusetts resident who owns the largest collection of Bills memorabilia, Tranter got the ball rolling 18 months ago in a call to Cynthia A. Conides, executive director of the Buffalo and Erie County Historical Society...
Buffalo Bills owner Ralph Wilson, Bruce Smith give 2009 NFL Hall of Fame class Buffalo feel
Practically giddy with excitement over his upcoming induction into the Pro Football Hall of Fame, Ralph Wilson greeted Bruce Smith in the middle of a hotel ballroom to pose for a picture Friday afternoon.
Canton crowns Wilson, Smith
Ralph C. Wilson Jr. and Bruce Smith paid tribute to the Buffalo Bills' loyal fans Saturday night during their induction into the Pro Football Hall of Fame.
Wilson described choosing Buffalo over four other cities when he founded the franchise in 1959.
"It was a lucky pick," Wilson said, "because over the years they have supported the teams in Buffalo beyond...
Berman Awoken From Deux Deux Deux Stupor to Enshrine Ralph Wilson
Berman only forced his “nobody circles the wagon like the Buffalo Bills” shtick on the audience once, so we, the people wasting part of a Saturday evening watching the Hall of Fame induction, should feel fortunate, even if he bragged how Wilson voted against every franchise’s attempted relocation (except, y’know, his own). Then again, Wilson [...]
Bills happy, T.O. content after Cowboys owner 'ran for the woods'
Albert Breer
Every time Terrell Owens steps on the field, every time he touches the ball, every time he stretches a hamstring out ...
Every time, the reaction is the same.
Western New York clearly is behind T.O. Clarity comes with every step he takes, and the chants and cheers that follow him.
It's an odd couple if there ever was one. Owens is showtime. Buffalo...
Sorry Buffalo: As Good As You Look, You Could Be In For a Long Season
This isn't going that long of an article. I just need to warn you Buffalo Bills fans before you get too excited.
As good as your team looks, they have a huge weakness.
The offensive line.
Buffalo has some talented players on this team. Owens, Lynch, Evans, Parrish, Schobal, Stroud, Mitchell, McGee, and Whitner are all productive, so don't get me wrong, I think this team...
First-timers in spotlight on Sunday
NBC analyst Cris Collinsworth would never have been confused with the Buffalo Bills' Terrell Owens as a wide receiver but they have something in common Sunday night.
Less snacks meant more sacks for Hall of Famer Smith
Bruce Smith looked in the mirror and saw too much Bruce Smith staring back.
Bloated and weighing more than 300 pounds, Smith had just finished his rookie NFL season in 1985. He was still able to manhandle hulking offensive linemen 50 or more pounds heavier than him, but he didn't look like the dominant college player the Buffalo Bills had drafted No. 1 overall.
This wouldn...
