I went around to five major mainstream media sports websites, and compiled their NFL week 10 power rankings to create the ultimate power rankings. This list will be updated weekly, and anytime there is a change to these sites' rankings. Visit the URL to read the full rankings. I didn't rank these teams, it's a consensus of the media. So take issue with them.

  • The sources:
    ESPN.com (a bunch of people),
    CBS (Pete Prisco)
    FOX (Adrian Hasenmayer)
    SI (Dr. Z)
USA Today (I'm not sure who)
  • Some stats:

Most decisive - St. Louis Rams: everyone gave them #26
Least decisive - New York Jets: difference of 14, between high of 8 and low of 22
  • Some "anaylsis":

Overrated - Indianapolis Colts: They barely pulled out the victory at home and had a lot of help from the Pats playing some really stupid football (timeouts, penalty at the end). They still have only one legit, decisive win this season; every other game they've won could easily have been a loss and almost was.
Underrated - Miami Dolphins: The team is now .500, with all their wins coming against playoff-caliber teams. Their remaining schedule is easy, though, so look for them to keep cruising and rise in the rankings.

Who do you think is over/underrated?
  • i think the Chicago Bears are underated. They only lose close games and they are in the final minutes of the games. They could have easily of won against the Bucs if it wasn't for a stupid penalty by Tillman. Atlanta was within the last 11 sec. and could have very easily been ours to win. And one of the top rated teams in the Carolina Panthers came from behind to win since the final minutes were the only ones they had the lead in, but they finished with it. All 3 losses could have gone the other way which is saying that very easily right now, the Bears could be undefeated as of right now.
  • We'll see. If they beat the Titans, then they'll definitely rise to the top 10 or so.
