Last season I made my first top 20 NFL players list, although it was on another website that I wrote for at that time. The top two were pretty simple at that time. Peyton Manning was number one and Tom Brady was number two, coming off of a record breaking season. The rest of the [...]

id put larry fitz as number one for the moment because hes a one man team, but i think hes the third best receiver in the nfl, calvin and andre johnson are both beasts

i actually like this list a lot. I cant even disagree with Ed Reed being so high, because he was BIG TIME last year, he made that Ravens team amazing. He is clearly the best at what he does in the game right now. As for idiot boy above D Williams scored like 17 touchdowns last season, and was completely amazing. He looked like he was on 10 types of steroids and some alien steroid we never heard of. I will say Ronnie Brown is also a big time game changer, and I know he didnt deserve to be on the list, but this upcoming season. I think he will show he can be on this list.

Hands down I agree with Fitzgerald being #1 the only thing he did not do was win the big one, and its just a matter of time.

albert haynesworth is over rated. The only 2 good years of his career were when he was playing for a new contract. The Redskins made a 100 million dollar mistake by signing him.

but if your basing it on JUST last year then i guess it would be accurate

I agree. It's based on the best 20 players at this current time. I don't expect to see Haynesworth this high on the list ever again.
  • How can Donovan McNabb not be on this list? And ya we all know how the Redskins' free agent signings always work out for them(LOL).I think Haynesworth is gonna fade into oblivion, plus he is hurt alot. I mean he does have talent but is a bit of a headcase

Alright, there's no denying that Fitz is an amazing athlete and should definitely be on this list, but come on #1? I hate the Patriots but Brady has got to be number one. He's always had a great line but has played most of his career without a receiver who did anything anywhere else with the exception of Moss, but all his SB's were won without Moss. Also, can we get real about Rothlisburger, ahead of Bob Sanders and Westbrook? Sanders IS the Colts defense, and Westbrook still gets more attention than almost anybody in the league from defensive coordinators. Check Ben's stats, they're not that great, he's here only cuz of Super Bowls and this isn't the greatest team list. He's got good receivers and the best defense in the league, granted his O line doesn't protect him at all. Overall, I agree with crazyphillyfan, more of an assessment of last years performance.

How was donovan a top 20 player last year? seriously??? are you insane? or are you just saying this to screw with my head? AT least 5 QBs played better then Donovan last year. Peyton Manning, Kurt Warner, Big Ben - best 4th quarter QB last season, Jay Cutler, Phillip Rivers,
  • Hey Zukny,I know you are really a D-Mac fan,but statistically he had a better season than Roethlisberger, obviously Big Ben had a better year because he won the SB,but statistically, more yards,td's and less int's.What about how he played down the stretch after the benching?
  • Sorry meant to say you really aren't a D-Mac fan.
