Redskins Insider:
Your Tuesday Morning reading (and watching) list... The questions about Jim Zorn's playcalling are, well, pointed, Barry Svrluga writes: The issue of play-calling is a touchy one in any NFL locker room, and the Redskins almost all said it was up to them to correctly run the plays Zorn calls, not to question them. "Players think a lot of things," Santana Moss said. "Every player's going to wonder why we didn't call something or why we did. If you [are] a team, you don't sit there and dwell on the fact of, 'We didn't call it.' The coaches give us a chance to make a play, so whatever we call, whatever they dial up, we have to be ready for. We execute it to the best of our ability, whether we score or not. It's never an issue when it comes to what the coach dials up, because he's giving

Rinehart, Montgomery to Compete for Line Spot
Apparently, Coach Jim Zorn needs to see more from Chad Rinehart. Although many in the organization expected Rinehart to be named the starter to replace injured right guard Randy Thomas, Rinehart will compete this week with guard-center Will Montgomery, Rinehart said before practice today at Redskins Park. Running back Clinton Portis is about to speak, so I have to run. We'll have...
I Feel So Much Better Now
WTF dudeTakeaway drill: Winning can look like losing, especially when paired with a critical season ending injury, red zone futility and weak playcalling; Steve Spagnuolo can still gameplan against Washington; Redskins fans are flat out of patience.=====Monday walkthrough: The Washington Redskins coin a new term, winning futile as they hold off the St. Louis Rams 9-7 to move to...
Redskins Crush Rams in Two Point Blow-Out
A bad win beats a good loss any day.Make no mistake. The
Washington Redskins' win over the St. Louis Rams was a butt-ugly affair
over a team that managed two wins in its last 18 games. One of
those wins last year came at the Redskins' expense. Washington almost
blew this game the same way by allowing a long fourth quarter reception
by Donnie Avery. Only this time, safety...
Greg Blache gets his revenge against Steve Spagnuolo; Skins-Rams Defensive Review
Last year, the story of the Redskins-Giants game at FedEx Field was, in my opinion, the complete embarrassment of the Redskins' defensive coaching staff to adjust their gameplan for the field conditions, while the Giants defense took away the Redskins' running game and the Redskins ran right into it.While certainly, revenge would have been more satisfying if it game against...

Tuesday Take: Booing, Thomas, play calling
1. Booing—Here’s the bottom line on booing: Paying fans have the right to boo the team for whatever reason they choose, whether the team wins or loses. But, by the same token, players like Chris Cooley have every right to say that the expressions of displeasure are unwarranted. Now, Robert Henson did go too far [...]
Redskins' quarter-by-quarter
First quarter What happened: Neither team went anywhere on its first possession. The Redskins then drove 84 yards before Jason Campbell's pass on third-and-goal from the 3 was knocked down in the end zone. Shaun Suisham kicked a 21-yard field goal. Tight end Chris Cooley caught four passes for 40 yards, and Clinton Portis had four carries for 26 yards on the drive. The Rams caught...

Redskins face 'must-Must-MUST-win' game against Lions
"Very dangerous," Redskins center Casey Rabach said of the Lions. "This team is looking for a win; they played Minnesota real good the first half (Sunday), and then they got away from them. A team that definitely would beat us if we don't come in and play our game."
Hey Robert Henson - Mike Greenberg Isn’t a Fan
The usually reserved and vanilla Mike Greenberg, who isn’t nearly the Jets fan we are, got wound up yesterday - for three minutes! - when talking about Washington Redskins rookie linebacker Robert Henson, the guy who ripped fans on twitter. Question that hasn’t been addressed: Can people working 9-5 at McDonald’s afford to go to [...]
Robert Henson Quitting Twitter Confirms Tweeting Equals Smoking
Robert Henson, the Washington Redskins linebacker who tweeted that fans who booed the lackluster 9-7 win over the St. Louis Rams were "dim wits", has taken down his Twitter account, proving once again that Twitter, like smoking cigarettes, is terrible for us even though we don't know it yet.
Look at the comparisons:
- People smoked cigarettes without understanding...
Breaking down Jim Zorn's lie
Okay, by now you know about Jim Zorn claiming he couldn't see the play clock when he tried to call timeout late in the Rams game. The Redskins needed to call timeout with as little time on the play clock as possible, to kill the overall game clock. However, Zorn tried to call timeout with plenty of time on the play clock, while Special Teams Coach Danny Smith frantically tried to stop him.
