I'm out of town until Saturday. With the Vikings having a bye and sitting pretty at 7-1, I thought I'd have some fun at the expense of the bad -- really, really bad -- teams in the NFL.* The Browns fired their GM, who was apparently picked by their coach (shouldn't that be the other way around?) and won't start Brady Quinn because they don't want him earning an $11 million bonus if he takes 70% of his team's snaps. Derek Anderson, meanwhile, is historically bad.* When the Chiefs wanted to get younger two years ago, they traded 26-year-old Jared Allen to the Vikings. That was confusing. Trading 33-year-old Tony Gonzalez made more sense, though I couldn't figure out why you'd want to trade possibly the best tight end ever and a pillar of your community. Gonzalez, for the record, trails only Roddy White in receptions and receiving yards for the Falcons. But at least the Chiefs got younger, right?Well...as if gobbling up 29-year-old Bobby Wade after the Vikings waived him, the Chiefs ha...

Reports surfaced yesterday of a poll conducted by Sports Illustrated where they asked current players who they thought the “dirtiest player” in the NFL was. Perhaps surprisingly, the Minnesota Vikings own Jared Allen appeared on the list as the 10th top vote getter amongst players who participated. How could that be?? Just look at that [...]

Johnson runs over Jags in Youngs return
Vince Young may have been the headline going into the match-up of 0-6 Tennessee and 3-3 Jacksonville but if the Titans were to finaly crack the win column it likely had more to do with the legs of running back Chris Johnson.

Vince Young is Back, Titans Win First Game
After starting the season 0-6, the Tennessee Titans threw caution to the wind and let former starting quarterback Vince Young have his old job back. And following his 15-for-18 passing performance in a 30-13 win over the Jacksonville Jags this afternoon, maybe they wish they would’ve made that decision a few weeks ago. Actually, it was at the order of team owner Bud Adams that...
Fantasy Radar: NFL Week 9 Waiver Wire
Alex Smith- Last time I talked about Alex I said he'd have to have three solid games in a row in order for me to take his resurgence seriously. So far so good, as he has notched two decent games back-to-back. Vince Young- Fantasy stats-wise there wasn't much to get excited about in Vince's first game back as starting QB. There is some upside to consider though. If VY...
