I want to give you faithful readers at HHR a heads-up. As much as I have enjoyed maintaining this site, when bigger, more high-profile oportunities are available, I must do what's right by me and my family. Nobody associated with the Jets is pressing Brett Favre to make a decision on his future, in part because they don’t want to be seen as the team that ran a future Hall of Fame quarterback out of town. But there are those, including owner Woody Johnson and general manager Mike Tannenbaum, [...]

The Browns are very eager to interview former New York Jets head coach Eric Mangini as he is going to be a hot commodity around the league. The more I think about it, the more I like the idea of Mangini being the head coach in Cleveland. Some may wonder why Randy Lerner is looking at at hiring ...

Eric Mangini is no longer the head coach of the NY Jets. I have been writing all year that Mangini was on the hot seat and that between his lack of experience as a field general (making changes during the game) and his emotionless actions during the week and in games eventually cost him his [...]

Getting beaten up by a bunch of street punks wouldn’t have been anywhere near as painful as the last five weeks have been for Jets fans. The Football Gods just opened up their golden endzone, smiled upon the Jet faithful, and then poo-ed all over us. Wow that one sucked. I’m good at rationalizing but [...]

Free agent guard to be Alan Faneca may be headed to the New York Jets, reports Sports Illustrated. The veteran linesman would be a welcome addition to an offense whose ground game ranked 25th in the NFL last season.

The results are in and here is the final NFL Power Rankings of the year. I've eliminated the "jobbers" tier because, really, if you don't make the playoffs it doesn't matter. Not a lot of shifting in the top ten, mostly because teams that had secured their playoff fate were resting their starters.
I also realize there were a few mistakes regarding team records ...

Like most people, I'm bemused and irritated at the selection of Peyton Manning as league MVP, but then it's got to go to some big name white QB, so why not one who waited too long to get off-season surgery, then milked the sympathy from the media afterwards?Frankly, there wasn't much a chance ...
