The Bengals came out on top against the Green Bay Packers 31-24 at Lambeau Field yesterday. The three players that stood out to me are Carson Palmer, Antwan Odom and Cedric Benson, some were great and one was disappointing. Let's start with the bad news,Palmer doesn't want to see Packers DB Charles Woodson again! Woodson picked two on Palmer and ran one back 37 yards for a touchdown. Palmer needs to find his confidence and play loose football next week. Antwan Odom was in the zone. He had 5 sacks against the Packers offense. Odom tied the Bengals single-game record. I will definitely watch Odom next week to if it was a fluke or IS HE JUST THAT GOOD! Cedric Benson was unstoppable against the Packers. He ran the ball 29 times for 141 yards. If Benson keeps playing like that the Bengals offense will be a threat on the ground and in the air. What I want to see when the Bengals play the Steelers at Paul Brown Stadium on Sunday is the old Palmer making good decisions, Odom breaking the record with six sacks and Benson running all over the defense.

9/23: Odom honored; Murray replaces Lynch
Bengals DE Antwan Odom today is the AFC Defensive Player of the Week by the NFL.
Odom tied a franchise record at Green Bay with five sacks in a 31-24 win at Lambeau Field. The Bengals, who have compiled individual sack records since 1976, had seen such a performance only once previously, when DE Eddie Edwards [...]
Antwan Odom wins AFC defensive honors
To little surprise, Bengals defensive end Antwan Odom has been named the AFC defensive player of the week for Week Two.He generated five -- five! -- sacks in Sunday's win over the Packers at Lambeau Field. And so the 2008 free-agent...
Video: Ochocinco Does The Lambeau Leap
by Bruce CiskieFiled under: Bengals, Packers, AFC North, NFC North, NFL VideoMaking it abundantly clear that he meant no disrespect, Cincinnati Bengals receiver Chad Ochocinco said he would do a Lambeau Leap if he scored a touchdown at Green Bay on Sunday. While Packers fans may not have seen the humor or fun in the idea, few doubted that Ochocinco would do it. Instead, the only question...
So, About This Antwan Odom Guy...
The Bungles put up an impressive victory Sunday against Green Bay. The Queen City felt long-forgotten and shocking feelings of mirth which residents misconstrued as the adverse effects of paint huffing.Yes, we all know the Bungles are synonymous with fail, but this Cincy team is a freakish tipped pass to Brandon Stokley away from being 2-0. They have a defensive end who has seven...
Packers-Bengals one-liners
The Bengals won in Green Bay 31-24, and the total team victory by Cincinnati was even more convincing than the final score indicates. After recording only three sacks last year, DE Antwan Odom's five-sack day felt like a dream. He believes...
Bengals' Odom Rodgers' worst enemy
It's safe to say it's been awhile since Lambeau Field had seen the kind of individual pass-rushing performance that Cincinnati Bengals defensive end Antwan Odom had Sunday.
Bad News Bengals: Packers Sloppy Play Dooms Them in Loss
The sky is not falling in Green Bay after the Packers lost to the Bengals 31-24. They lost one game early in the year to a hungry team coming off of a heartbreaking loss at home. They have no continuity offensively, and once they find it, they should be fine.
However, as a Packers fan, it hurts me deeply to say it, but, “I told you so.”
Green Bay took Cincinnati too lightly and...
Notebook: Stopping Jackson Is Job One
Symptomatic of the team's performance in most areas through the first two weeks of the regular season, the Green Bay Packers have been both good and bad at stopping the run so far in 2009.
In Week 1 against the Chicago Bears, the Packers and their new 3-4 scheme held Matt Forte to just 55 yards on 25 carries, a measly 2.2 yards per carry. But then last week against the Cincinnati...
Steelers-Bengals: What the Teams Need to Do to Win
Who would have thought that the Week Three matchup between the Pittsburgh Steelers and Cincinnati Bengals would have this much meaning?
The Bengals are one tipped pass and a miracle touchdown against the Denver Broncos away from being 2-0.
The Steelers are two missed Jeff Reed field goals against the Chicago Bears from also being 2-0.
The Baltimore Ravens, who struggled against the...
Final: Packers 24 - Bengals 31
Pain and misery fill the air.I'm guessing when everyone was looking at the schedule and making their season record projections that a loss to the Bengals in Game #2 wasn't one they were counting in the loss column. But that's how things wound up today. The Packers were flat on offense and defense. On defense, they had no answer for stopping RB Cedric Benson who, like most...
