PLAYERS: Gerome Sapp
TEAMS: Baltimore Ravens

Way back in January I reported that Gerome Sapp was arrested for assaulting a former teammate. Apparently I didn't have all of my facts straight. My bad.

Grading the Ravens

It can be a difficult task deciding what kind of grade to give each position. Especially when the scoreboard seems to imply a rather close game. Yesterday's game wasn't that close however. While Sports Illustrated's Michael Lombardi gives Flacco a 'C' and Harbaugh 'B', I gave them both higher grades. Quarterback: B Joe Flacco managed the game [...]

Flacctopia

We were spoiled. Lauryn and I may have moved from the National Football League to the National Pastime this summer, but our passion for the men in purple came with us. For the first time since we moved to California, the NFL was in full swing on Sunday and we took in the action on SIRIUS Satellite Radio in the car, at Barney's Beanery in West Hollywood, and on NFL.com in...

Samari Rolle is a Neighborhood M.V.P.

In addition to being a vital part of the Ravens' defensive secondary, cornerback Samari Rolle is also an institution in the Baltimore community, and the NFL and Home Depot are honoring him for his community service efforts. Rolle will be one of 17 NFL players to be honored by the Home Depot as players

What's next for Willis McGahee?

Baltimore's backfield should be chopped and screwed for its game against Houston this weekend.

"Rantin' and Raven" - Week 1

In addition to providing "The Good, the Bad, and the Ugly" for each game (which will return next week after a brief hiatus), I bring to you a new weekly piece, offering analysis with a fan's touch, called "Rantin' and Raven." Here's a final look at the Ravens' 17-10 victory over Cincinnati. Ray-Ray Ray Lewis' pre-game dance to the...

And the game ball goes to…

I didn't watch the game this week, but some statistics really stood out to me. Joe Flacco wasn't sacked, and as a team, the Ravens ran for 229 yards on forty-six carries. Most importantly, the Ravens were able to put the game away in the fourth quarter in thanks to the offensive line. The Ravens [...]

Missed the Season Opener :-(

Sadly, the season opener of my beloved Ravens didn't air yesterday, but I caught the highlights. I love the spirit of our new QB, and as usual our defense was stellar! I hope this momentum continues. If anyone knows whether or not the game will be replayed, please let me know. :-( Man it ruins my week when I don't get my football fix!

Ravens vs. Bengals Live Blog

So here we go with the start of the season, and the first installment of the Ravens live game blog. Please feel free to join in and talk up rookie Joe Flacco, the defense, and how the season begins for the Ravens. Let's go.

Blogimore Ravens featured in Baltimore Sun

The Baltimore Sun featured my Ravens blog in a story about... yep, you guessed it: Ravens bloggers. Talk about a snooze-fest. They summarized Blogimore as being long on attitude and humor, and shorter on insights. Sounds about right.

Underdogs to the Texans?

Baltimore (+4.5) at Houston. Five reasons why the Ravens are underdogs to the Texans. 1) Houston's stadium is loud, loud, loud. 2) Joe Flacco had a nice debut, he's still a rook. 3) Historically the Texans have played the Ravens tough. Granted, they've played only twice (with the Ravens winning both games) but the total margin of victory for the Ravens is five points...

Simms to Get a Workout w/ Brady Done for 08

With the season likely over for Pats QB Tom Brady, the team appears to be already coming up with a backup plan, as sources say that the team will work out former Bucs QB Chris Simms today.  He was released by the Bucs after missing most of the last two seasons because of a ruptured spleen. He helped Tampa Bay to the playoffs in 2005. Simms had reportedly worked out for the Ravens...

Game Preview: Cincinnati at Baltimore

The Bengals head to a storm-dampened Baltimore on Sunday, where they will help the Ravens open the season at M&T Bank Stadium for just the second time in nine years. Cincinnati, which turned in a 2-2 preseason record, comes to town amid enormous controversy. Their star running back has been shipped out of town, their star offensive tackle has been cut (and is now a Raven)...

Ravens 17 Bengals 10 (The JOE VICK-O EXPERIENCE Game)

The Ravens beat down the Bengals yesterday, even though the score was only 17-10. Rookie Joe Flacco looked good in his first real action, and showed a side of his skill set that nobody saw coming.

Bungled

Well, that sucked. The Bengals' 17-10 loss to the Ravens yesterday was as bad a performance as any during the Bungle years. Couldn't run the ball, couldn't protect the QB, couldn't move the chains, couldn't score. Just a total and complete offensive breakdown. That the defense looked halfway decent is
