He is quite possibly the worst MNF commentator I have ever heard.

Look, I'm not one to kick someone when they're down, and Tony Kornheiser has certainly received his share of criticism, but this quote from his latest appearance "On The DL" just cracked me up....
“I am absolutely gratified and buoyed by the street reaction that I have gotten where people say to me ‘we really liked your work, we’re really going to miss you.’ Total strangers, people I don’t know, seem to have responded very well to what I did on Monday Night Football. That thrills me. I didn’t expect that.
“You know, I thought that critically I was crushed, and internally, maybe, at ESPN there were a lot of people who didn’t like me -- I mean, I don’t know that, but I sense that every once in a while -- but I think there are just people who don’t like me. But the average guy on the street, at least the one who wants to talk to me, is so kind in what they’ve said and I’m very grateful for that.”So basically everyone who mattered (i.e.- His co-workers and peers in the business) think hammered him, but the average Joe on the street says they'll miss him? First of all, I don't think Tony is that much a "man of the people", that he's strolling around DC and talking with the commoners. But even if he is, I'm sure people would bring up PTI over anything he did on MNF. I certainly could be wrong though.
Tony also talks Gilbert Arenas, the Mickelsons, Gruden and Millen and Twitter! Be sure to listen and subscribe to the OtDL podcast!!!

Ouch, I almost forgot about him. I do remember it was painfull. Kornheiser is a loud mouth with no content, that's the last thing I want when I watch a game. There has to be a good commentator out there, looking for a gig.
-
I'm glad to see him gone from MNF. I had to mute the TV when he spoke. I couldn't stand when he talked about Favre. I like Mike T. a lot. They need to clone him. Jaws is always Jaws, and we will see about Chucky. What is Dungy and Harrison doing now? Are they doing Sunday night?

I'm sure he can count on 1 hand how many "strangers" came up to him and said they would "miss" him..
-
Hell he was'nt that bad, would you all rather see Joe Theismann back in the booth? Now he really sucked.
-
That is like making a choice between getting your teeth pulled or sitting through a musical. They were both equally bad. At least Theismann knew something about football, and we got to see the replay of his leg getting jacked up.
-
He wasn't terrible he just wasn't that good. He kills on PTI though. Money 1-2 combo with Wilbon.
-
He's way less annoying than john madden was, or collinsworth.
-
I like him on PTI I never pay attention to announcers anymore I'm usually talking to someone else
-
He must have been drinking on the job, how else can you explain it.
-
I would really like to know if any of those so called average Joe's ever watched him look like a complete buffoon on MNF. He was one of the worst on that program and their have been many....
-
Yea he did
-
This guy is a pompous a$$.
-
Tony, don't let the door hit you in the ars on the way out. Stick to PTI.

Kornheiser Crushes Gilbert Arenas
"Gilbert Arenas is the worst person on earth," Tony Kornheiser said on today's episode of the On the DL podcast. "He's a coach killer and a team killer. He's a team killer, Gilbert Arenas. He got Eddie Jordan fired. He didn't play." Well, this is true. He didn't play. He didn't play because his knee broke. Tom Brady is also a team killer...
