Check out who we think received big time snubs from the voting public this year. I'll tell you who SHOULDN'T have made it... Troy Polamalu. Talk about an early Christmas present...

  • nobody can say Champ Bailey doesn't deserve a Pro Bowl, he is great even though my Broncos are not that good this year. you can't deny a top 3 player in the league.
  • You can deny him because he hasn't played well this year. Neither champ or Dre Bly have played up to their potential.

Just because he's an amazing player doesnt mean every year will be his year. This clearly wasn't.
  • The Pro Bowl voting is fan driven , so it's just a popularity contest. The real one is the All-Pro selections done by the players themselves. If a player is popular in a city, then he's going to get lots of votes even if he hasn't played that well or has been injured for a few games. It's aways been that way. Nothing new.
  • How about Bryant McKinnie of the Vikings. Him and Steve Hutchinson are the main reasons Adrian Peterson is a Pro Bowler and Chester Taylor's been doing so well too. He and Hutch are the Walter Jones and Hutch that led Shaun Alexander to MVP.
  • Adrian have have made it anyway. The guy is an animal that gets stronger as the game goes on. I had the pleasure of watching him at OU for 3 years. He can run behind any damn offensive line; even the Little Sisters of the Poor.
  • I would send Matt Birk before McKinnie. He's a good guy, but he has had a less than spectacular year.
  • How didn't WR Brandon Marshall of the Broncos not get a bid...T.J. Houshmandzadeh gets one and Marshall is the #7 receiver in the NFL right now in yards..T.J. as a background WR to ocho cinco gets one..and a 2nd year kid who replaced an injured javon walker gets nuthing..?...SNUB
  • as a Broncos fan, i couldn't agree more. Marshall is having an outstanding season. i also like your pic of D-Will too, fez9184.
  • The biggest snub is clearly Derek Anderson. He has made a playoff contender out of the Browns. What more does the guy need to do? Sure, Roethlisberger is have a pretty good year. But, Anderson is doing so much better on a team without the pedigree.
  • If his fans would have supported him and filled out ballots , he would have had a chance. That's just the way it is with the Pro Bowl voting. Fans have too big a say, but it's fans' fun bowl, so that's the way the ball bounces.
  • I voted for him plenty of times... So, don't go pointing the finger at me...
  • Good for you.
  • trent cole has to be in the top 5 on the snub list. he is undersized and is stil 3rd in the league in sacks.
  • Hell, what about Mario Williams? They guy has like 13 or 14 sacks and has been an animal the last two months and didn't make it, not even as a reserve.

Five Steelers named to Pro Bowl, including Ben and Harrison

The NFL today announced its Pro Bowl selections, and the Steelers were once again well represented. It was the seventh Pro Bowl selection for Faneca, who is of course in the final year of his contract with...

Steelers' rose-colored glasses are getting foggy

Allow me to start by addressing those who've questioned those of us that have not been giving the rubber stamp praise to the Steelers this year. We've been some reading some comments that state if you doubt your team, you're not a real fan.

Horse-Collar Tackle Rule is Full of Dun

I am not overly upset that Williams is suspended for a game. I am just concerned that the rule is unevenly applied in the NFL. It's based on judgment, not science. I tend to agree with Chris Hope. The NFL is a dangerous game. Tackling at the legs or chop tackling are far more dangerous than these types of tackles. This rule gives an unfair advantage to a receiver who is ahead...
