In our view, defensive lineman Shaun Phillips made one of the biggest plays of the game when he shoved Justin Smiley as the Miami guard tried to recover Ronnie Brown's first-quarter fumble into the Chargers' end zone. If Smiley covers the ball in-bounds, it's a TD, but his momentum carried out of the back of the end zone, and the Chargers got a touchback.

He gives no real insight (unlike Dungy), His shtick is more pro wrestling heel than NFL commentator.
All he does is make extreme negative comments about players or coaches, but never explains why, at least not intelligently.

No Division I college in his home state of Texas wanted anything to do with him coming out of high school, but he went on to a highly successful college career at Purdue.
He was passed over in the first round of the 2001 draft because of concerns about his lack of height, but became a Pro Bowler with the San Diego...
