I might have to put Santana Moss instead of Cooley in there. Rest of the list looks pretty good, I guess.

What has Shockey done lately? It almost seems that his injury which barred him from the field in the playoffs was more of a blessing for the Giants

Got to agree with you on that one. Was going to recommend that myself. Manning has spread the ball out a lot better now that he doesn't have Shockey in there screaming for the ball on every play.

I agree but who else can go in at eleven b. jacobs, and Shockey is not that bad , He is better than Santana Moss

OSI, that is if you allow defense in there

Shockey better than Moss? Not sure about that. Moss was hurt most of the year, too. How about Marion Barber? Not that many total yards, but a beast on the field who made play after play.

I can't think of anyone so lets make it a top ten list instead of eleven, I hate shockey, but like how he disrupts the NYG lockeroom

just for the bone shattering hit that jacobs laid on Woodson, I'd put him in there above Shockey. That could have been a game changing factor.

I'll bet he's gone next year

defense in there tomorrow

OSI has to be #1 even as an eagle fan...he ruled at his position. Seven sacks in one game, nough said

He's an animal, for sure, but he had a lot of help to break him loose with Tuck and Strahan on that line. Ware would have to be in there, too.

him and cole

Yeah.....Cole is a good pick.

Uh..hate to nitpick but it was 6 sacks in one game, not seven.

Then only 7 in the remaining 15 games. He's a good player but he clearly benefits from Strahan's dominance on the other side. Strahan plays the run AND the pass, and disrupts screen passes as well. If there is a playmaker on the Giants defensive line, it is Strahan, not Osi.

Whoops. already had Barber on there, My bad.

How about Tiki, after his comments about Eli...Eli went on a streak

Hell yeah...let's put Tiki in there. He's a great motivator.

20 thumbs up for westbrook & mcnabb, thanks!

Can quarterbacks really be considered playmakers? I mean unless they're a Vince Young type, they're usually handing the ball or throwing the ball to the "playmakers". I mean when I think of Eli Manning I don't think playmaker, I think good quarterback, but playmaker? no. Quarterbacks need the playmakers to generate big plays, not vice versa.

Don't know. I have seen Tony Romo make some pretty spectacular plays just on his athletic ability. Of course, we are talking about two different types of QB's here. McNabb is a playmaker, for sure. Any QB who can get out of the pocket and create is a playmaker in my book. Manning is more of a pocket QB, but I'm not sure I would totally count him out after the last three games.

you try putting a football on a rope through a 6 inch window at 30 yds and let me know how it works out. This division no doubt has some precision passers...well maybe not donovan or campbell

Amen. I saw Romo do some pretty incredible shit this year. Like getting the ball hiked 20 yards over his head and running 30 for a first down. Donovan is a playmaker, though. Campbell more of a pocket QB, although he does have a little running ability.

I wanted to retract that statement as soon as I posted it.

Quaterbacks not playmakers? Thats CRAZY!!! How about Mcnabb's 14 second escape artist play against Dallas in '04 on MNF, or how about Romo's play this past season against the Lions were the ball was hiked way over his head and went down field about 20 yards and he threw a bomb to the Lions 15, and lastly Eli's escapability in the Super Bowl come on man.

who is cole defense playmakers up by 2:15pm

Agree with most of the list, I would take out Shockey, he hasnt done anything recently, and i would add Brian Dawkins even though he is getting old he is still a playmaker. Also, DE Trent Cole or Demarcus Ware.

Could add Dawkins onto the defensive list, for sure.

Does Roy Williams make Defensive List

Hell, I'm a Cowboy fan and I wouldn't put Williams on here. He hasn't done crap the last two years but get toasted and suspended. They probably need to trade his ass, or threaten to. He's living on his past laurels.

for horse collar tackles....sure. I thought he had the most disappointing season this year for all of the returning safties in the NFC

Looks good, but I can guarantee that Ahmad Bradshaw kid will be on this after next year. That kid is explosive and Jacobs has injury issues.

I think McNabb will move up on this list, TO may drop a little bit, Cooley will drop off of it, Eli will move up, Barber will be top 4, and Portis will drop a little. Those are just my opinions for next year.

Bradshaw is Tiki with more explosion and less yapping, at least so far haha.

Defensive Eleven is Up

1. Brian Westbrook
2. Plaxico Burress
3. Marion Barber
4. Terrell Owens
5. Jason Witten
6. Chris Cooley
7. Donavan McNabb
8. Clinton Portis
9. Jeremy Shockey
10. Tony Romo
11. Kevin Curtis

Kevein Curtis? Please!!!!!!!!!!! That's like putting Roy Williams on the defensive list. Have to take him and Shockey out of there.

I'm a Philly fan but I have to agree. Curtis does not belong on a list of playmakers.

curtis is gay.

I like your list with some minor changes.
1-4 is perfect.
5 Homo
6 Witten
7 Portis
8 Cooley
9 McNabb
10 Jacobs
11 - who the hell ever heard of a top 11?

The most important part of your list was having MB3 near the top. The dude is an animal. He will be a top 5 back in 08.

No Randy Moss huh? I don't think TO did better then Moss this year at all. I like Plaxico. That name is just fun to say.

oh duh. NFC.

I would like to retract my retarded statement
thanks.

dude read the article NFC EAST Phucking dumb ass

Calm the hell down! I didn't read the NFC part. I was just looking at the list! what you all pissed about??? Jesus.

If we are talking about defense as well, then Demarcus Ware should be up there. The kid is a freak and up there with Bob Sanders as top defensive players.... Brandon Jacobs pulling Barnett sunday did it for me.. He should be at worst 11...

Why 11? Why not 10?

Westbrook #1 next year hopefully eagles can get three players on this list Mcnabb Westbrook ?

I'm guessing that Moss is too inconsistent to make the list? And what about Landry?

check defense for landry

moss or shockey it was a toss up

Shockey doesn't deserve to be on the list. As much as I hate to say it, Whitten deserves to be higher - maybe #4. Jacobs should be on it.

Next year you will see Bradshaw and Boss on there.

who was the dumbass that said bob sanders should be on there? he's on the Colts, right? AFC, right?

tony Homo in front of mcnabb Noway!!!!!!!!!

McNabb was hurt most of the year. Doesn't really matter. They both need to be on the list.
