The fellas at Saints Nation reached out to get our thoughts on the Jets-Saints matchup this weeked in New Orleans. Check out a mirror of most of these questions that he asked me about the Jets on their site. TJB: Jonathan Vilma was one of my favorite players for the Jets, how has he adjusted back to the 4-3 for the Saints? SN: Vilma has been the unquestioned leader of the Saints defense the last two seasons, and he’s performed at a very high level. He led the team last season in tackles, and he’s off to a good start again this year. He’s showed absolutely no ill effects from the microfracture knee surgery he had while with the Jets. While there’s no question he’s better suited for the 4-3, and the move back to that style of defense was a welcomed change for him – the Saints defense runs numerous defense schemes and fronts. Gregg Williams (the Saints DC) has employed a 3-4 defense 5 to 10 plays a game, so having that experience in New York has also...
